GEIDŌ Reviews
FOOD FOR THE PEOPLE(Read in voice of @japaneats)This is no fancy restaurant. It’s your run of the mill local shop that resembles home-style cooking. And it’s great. [insert jokes]. Jokes aside, it’s a place you can eat often. The food isn’t too decadent and the bill certainly won’t break the bank either
May 19, 2025 · Brian YimThe graffiti in the wall gives this Japanese restaurant a unique atmosphere. I liked the food, especially the okonomiyaki and the raw fish salad. The dragon roll was okay, it broke apart and the flavor didn't impress me.
Aug 27, 2024 · Javier KohenAfter reading Reddit’s recommendation (great value at affordable prices), I had a high hope for my Sunday dinner. However, Geido did not meet my expectations unfortunately. I ordered a cup of plum wine (good), stuffed shishito tempura as the appetizer (good), and “Sushi and Sashimi Melange” as the entree (average).Sashimi are in okay quality, nigiri roll and avocado rolls are also just okay. It’s not that good for me to consider a return visit.
Jul 12, 2024 · Susan SuI love this hole in the wall! It gets packed by locals fairly quickly after they open. I loved sitting at the sushi bar. I also had one of the house specials and it was sooooo good. Definitely will be returning with a loved one.
Jun 25, 2024 · Keisha HThe best Japanese resto in the neighborhood! Get’s packed by locals at 6-9pm. One of the few sushi places here run by Japanese staff and has donburi bowls not available in most places (Katsudon, Veggie-Don, Oyako-don). The price reflects the food quality and service. Faves are:Obama Roll: just order it! High quality sashimi, perfect sushi rice and addictive crunch!Salmon Kama: generous serving, crispy skin and tender meatKatsu-Don and Veggie-Don: bowls of comfort! Love the generous toppings and yummy dashi flavoring the rice. I can almost give up meat with the Veggie Don.Takoyaki: really good too
