Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ Reviews
My first appointment of the day was delayed by almost an hour. I was starting to hear my stomach grumble. So, why not, look up restaurant week menus to see if there was a lunch spot near my next appointment.Gyu-Kaku seemed like the best menu for my $30. I’ve never had Japanese BBQ (only Korean).I was welcomed in and was seated immediately. The music was some fun 80s-90s rock.Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.Miso soup, salad with a ponzu dressing, steamed pork dumplings with a garlic chili oil, followed by spicy beef and pork that you grill at the table. A big bowl of rice accompanied my proteins. And then green tea ice cream. I only had one bite of dessert because I was so stuffed. It was a great experience. Delicious. Friendly service.I’m already planning to go back.
January 30 · Smedley BiranstromI had an amazing experience thanks to our server, Luis! From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. He had great recommendations, kept everything running smoothly without hovering, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. It's rare to find someone so professional and personable at the same time. What really stood out was how Javier, the manager, came by to check on us personally, making sure everything was perfect. That extra touch showed a real commitment to hospitality and made our visit even more memorable.DEFINITELY COMING BACK!
May 21 · Fatima TiradoMan this place was great. Everything was phenomenal. And it's reasonably priced too. And I mean every single thing was good, the salad, the miso soup, the quality of the meat, the rice, the kimchi, the beer. I think I have found my new go to spot for Japanese BBQ. 🔥The manager Jaime is super cool, and really hooked me up.
March 23 · VinceGreat little spot with a good vibe and a diverse menu. It's clean, staff are friendly and there's something on the menu for all tastes. The Ramen and the Bibembap are awesome.
May 04 · Scott MacAuleyMy husband and I were first timers and we absolutely loved the experience! Had the Valentine’s day special whick came with a bunch of appetizers, meats, and dessert. Even the alcoholic drinks I had was define! It was called the coco-mo. Great service and a great atmosphere and aesthetic inside! We plan to be back again soon! Street parking can take time to find depending on day but we'll worth it.
