Hai Noon Reviews
Hai noon is definitely a culinary experience with small bites and high prices so be prepared! Each dish however had such depth in flavor. Cute little restaurant inside a remodeled motel. We had the special squash blossoms which my partner loved and the pork belly and mushroom rice was extremely flavorful! We would’ve loved to try more just a bit pricey.
May 29, 2025 · MEGHAN CUMAHai Noon was absolutely phenomenal. Things are a little more expensive so be prepared!! All Japanese style eats. Occasionally they will have off menu items so be sure to ask about them! I had their black sesame tequila mixed drink as well as a banana rum and both were some of the best drinks I've ever had, especially the black sesame tequila. It is a smaller restaurant, we got lucky because barely anyone was there. I'd recommend a reservation to be on the safe side. The Hamachi Crudo was the best bite of food I have ever tasted in my 30 years of being alive. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Complimentary valet was available when I was there, but I'm not sure if this is available every day. I cannot recommend this place enough, but be warned about prices!
Feb 18, 2025 · Zakk MurrayCompletely amazing restaurant with some of the best dishes I’ve had in phoenix. This is an underrated gem. Really anything on the menu is well worth ordering. The cocktails were wonderful. Please do yourself a favor and go here.
Mar 23, 2025 · Tristan NAn authentic 70s aesthetic. A charming, knowledgeable waiter that makes great recommendations and casually swears like a sailor. The dishes tasted like they were prepared (and personally brought out to us) by a wisened and experienced chef. The grapefruit avocado hamachi was to die for and the off menu lightly fried Yu Choy was outstanding too. I personally recommend just ordering a bunch of the grapefruit avocado hamachi and going ham. We had the campito and Tokyo mule cocktails which were unique. delicious, and refreshing.
Feb 09, 2025 · WW LeeThere are two types of chef-driven creative cooking: memorable and forgettable. Most is the latter, and usually very expensive. Chef Fukuda-san’s Hai Noon is the former (memorable, to be clear), and priced to please. If you subscribe to my YouTube channel you know I do a lot of Japanese and Japanese-ish dishes. That’s exactly what Hai Noon is: Japanese that’s mostly Japanese-ish. Whatever you call it, the well-curated menu is somewhat small but expertly executed. Everything was delicious, mixing Japanese and Western flavors. The small-plate format is good for both sharing and trying several different dishes. I’d say we ordered at least half the menu for four people. But don’t expect sushi, which is a very small part of Japanese cuisine. Be sure to read the photo captions. The restaurant itself is inside the retro-named and retro-themed Papago Motor Hotel. We entered the dining room through the cool, small bar, but I think you can skirt the bar and enter through the lobby too. The dining room is straight out of the 1950s, which was hinted by the vintage airstream RV parked outside. The decor and slightly Polynesian atmosphere and wall of semi-circular booths are really a hoot. We drank sake with our meal, a 720ml of a good Junmai Daiginjo, which was reasonably priced. There was only one other 720, for substantially more Yen. I would like to see a bigger selection of 720s. Even the other sakes on the list, but in bigger bottles, would be great. We’ll be back!
