HiroNori Craft Ramen is situated at 765 The City Dr S # 130, Orange, CA 92868, USA. While the address might seem straightforward, accessing this particular HiroNori location presents a uniquely intriguing aspect that local patrons have come to know. It’s described as being on a "very corner of an empty building," requiring a bit of navigation to reach. To find it, you’ll need to "drive to the left rear of the building." This might sound like a puzzle, but for the discerning ramen lover, it’s part of the charm of discovering a hidden gem.
Upon arriving at the correct spot, there's another distinctive step: you'll "need to ring a bell while you wait outside" to be let inside the hallway. While this entrance might be described as "looks very dirty and looks abandoned" by some, it’s a temporary passage to the warmth and deliciousness within. Once you're past the entrance, you'll find the restaurant. Despite the initial unconventional access, its location within Orange, CA, makes it accessible for residents of Orange County, including those in nearby Anaheim and Santa Ana. Parking is typically available within the complex, though navigating to the rear of the building is key. This location is easily reached via major roads, making it a viable option for a dedicated ramen trip.
HiroNori Craft Ramen focuses on providing a specialized and authentic ramen dining experience. Here's a breakdown of their primary services:
- Dine-In Service: The core of the HiroNori experience is enjoying a freshly prepared bowl of ramen in their restaurant. While the entrance might be unique, once inside, customers can sit down and savor their meal. Given its popularity and the potentially limited number of tables, there may be a wait during peak hours.
- Signature Ramen Bowls: HiroNori is renowned for its craft ramen, featuring deeply flavorful broths. Their most highlighted options include:
- Tonkotsu Ramen: A rich and creamy pork-based broth, slow-cooked to perfection, known for its depth of flavor. This is a highly popular choice among customers.
- Shoyu Ramen: A soy-sauce based broth, often lighter than tonkotsu but equally complex and savory, offering a different but equally satisfying experience.
- Customization Options: While the core ramen dishes are perfected, HiroNori offers ways to personalize your bowl. Notably, customers can request "garlic and spicy sauce on the side for free with the ramen." This allows diners to adjust the flavor profile to their liking, adding an extra kick or aromatic depth as desired.
- Quality Ingredients: The focus at HiroNori is on using high-quality components. While one review mentioned disappointment with certain elements, the meat (often chashu pork) is consistently praised for its quality and flavor, indicating a commitment to excellent protein components in their ramen.
- Limited Seating: It's noted that "there aren’t too many tables," which can contribute to wait times but also suggests a more intimate or focused dining environment where the quality of the food is the primary draw.
HiroNori Craft Ramen stands out for several key features that draw in its dedicated clientele:
- Exceptional Broth Quality (Generally): Despite one specific review mentioning a disappointing experience at this location, HiroNori's reputation is built on extremely delicious ramen, with their broths being a particular highlight. The tonkotsu and shoyu broths are often praised for their rich, deep flavors, indicative of meticulous preparation and high-quality ingredients. For many, HiroNori is their "personal favorite Ramen."
- Authentic Japanese Ramen Experience: HiroNori aims to deliver a true craft ramen experience, focusing on traditional ramen styles and flavors. This commitment to authenticity resonates strongly with those seeking genuine Japanese cuisine.
- Customizable Flavor Profile: The ability to request complimentary "garlic and spicy sauce on the side" is a significant perk. This allows diners to fine-tune the intensity and heat of their ramen, catering to individual preferences without extra cost. It empowers customers to create their ideal bowl.
- High-Quality Meat: Even in a less-than-perfect experience, the meat (likely chashu pork) in their ramen is consistently highlighted as being "worth eating" and of good quality. This speaks to the attention to detail in a key component of the ramen bowl.
- Intimate Dining Atmosphere (due to limited seating): While it can lead to waits, the smaller number of tables might contribute to a more focused and less overwhelming dining experience, allowing patrons to concentrate on the flavors of their meal.
- The "Hidden Gem" Appeal: The unique and somewhat hidden location, requiring a bell ring for entry, adds an element of discovery and exclusivity for those who find it. For many, this adds to the allure of a special, off-the-beaten-path dining experience.

HiroNori Craft Ramen Reviews
Weirdest location. Very corner of an empty building you need to ring to be let inside the hallway looks very dirty and looks abandoned.Ordinarily, HiroNori is extremely delicious and my personal favorite Ramen. This is possibly the worst one I've found. The meat was the only thing worth eating. Everything else is disappointingly flavorless. No wonder it's hidden.
May 25, 2025 · Rey CincoIt’s a very odd location. Drive to the left rear of the building. You then have to ring a bell while you wait outside. Once you are in, there aren’t too many tables, so you may have to wait. The ramen is good. You can get garlic and spicy sauce on the side for free with the ramen. The shoyu and the tonkotsu ramen were both good.
Dec 15, 2024 · Ben ParkSmall neat little nook of a gem! Food is amazing! Service was outstanding. Limited seating and you have to get ringed in. Worth the wait. Cheese cake is full of flavor with hints of lime. Noodles and soups are so flavorful! Servers are so polite and attentive. Makes you feel special how kind and professional they are. Thank you all for the wonderful experience.
May 21, 2025 · magusmc127The ramen, vegan gyoza, and the crab cucumber salad were all great, and the virgin yuzu piña colada was a unique and unexpected surprise, very good as well. Worth going back.Food and drink: 5/5Service: 3/5 - OKVibes: 4/5 - It feels like a small speakeasy, and the tables are cut with small wood chairs. It is very small in the shopPrice/Value: 4/5 - As expected, a ramen entree is about $18, and sides are about $8, and drinks are about $3-5Additional notes:-Service Fee: They charge a 16% service fee (stated to be for the staff), and it is auto-applied but the server politely asked us if we would like to keep that or switch to a gratuity instead. This is also noted on the menu and on the check.-Parking: The shop is in the back of the business complex and they have a camera and doorbell that you can ring. Parking is available in the side-Bathrooms: They have keys hanging next to the entrance that you can take to unlock the bathrooms in the business complex plaza
