House of Japan, a popular and established Japanese steakhouse in Columbus, often features promotions and special offers to enhance the dining experience for its loyal Ohio customers. While specific deals can fluctuate, it's always a good idea to check directly with the restaurant or their official online channels for the most current information. However, based on common practices for similar establishments and available public data, here are some types of promotions you might find:
Lunch Specials: House of Japan is known for offering appealing lunch specials. These typically provide a quicker service and excellent value during daytime hours, making it a great option for a midday meal. Lunch entrees often include soup, salad, vegetables, and fried rice at a reduced price compared to dinner. Some past specials have featured combinations like Filet Mignon & Chicken or Hibachi Steak & Shrimp at attractive rates.
Dinner Combinations and Feasts: While not a discount in the traditional sense, their "Imperial Feast" and various combination entrees are designed to offer a comprehensive dining experience at a set price. These often include multiple protein options (like Filet Mignon, Lobster, Chicken) along with all the standard hibachi accompaniments (soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, vegetables, fried rice, and even dessert like orange sherbet). These provide a "special" value for a full, multi-course meal.
Occasional Vouchers or Deals on Third-Party Sites: Websites like Groupon have historically featured deals for House of Japan (or similar Japanese steakhouses in the area), offering vouchers for a discount on hibachi dinner entrees. These deals might require a minimum number of entrees and are typically valid for dine-in only, often with exclusions for holidays or other special dates. It's worth checking these platforms periodically if you're planning a visit.
Loyalty Programs or Gift Card Incentives: While not explicitly detailed, many popular restaurants offer loyalty programs for frequent diners or special incentives when purchasing gift cards, especially around holidays. These can be a great way to save on future visits or give the gift of a memorable dining experience.
To ensure you're getting the best possible value and to confirm any current offerings, the most reliable approach is to visit House of Japan's official website or give them a call before your visit. House of Japan Reviews
House of Japan šÆšµ is the best Japanese steakhouse in Columbus hands-down! Iāve been going here for over 20 years. Donāt believe these bad reviews.5 star service!5 star food!
May 23, 2025 Ā· Rich CHands down my favorite restaurant in the central Ohio area. The food is always cooked to perfection, exceedingly tasty, and should make for two good meals or a single really filling meal. I recommend adding egg-yolk sauce to your order to enhance the taste even further. The staff is always friendly and the cooks are skilled and always put on a good show for patrons. I would also like to mention that the included salad is also of a very high quality.
Dec 04, 2024 Ā· Kaleb BryantWe come here every year to celebrate birthdays. This year my boyfriend and I were very disappointed. Our chef was great and the food was delicious so we tipped him separately but our server did not even come to ask for refills or to check on us. Took forever to get boxes and the bill. I also told two different girls to tell our server about it being my boyfriendās birthday since our server was nowhere to be found. No birthday celebration happened⦠for those who did receive the birthday recognition it was more basic than usual, just drum bang thatās it. When youāre used to a certain tradition and donāt have that same experience at a place where we pay a lot of money at, it can ruin the way you feel about the business. I hope they do better moving forward
May 26, 2025 Ā· Gabrielle StarcherIāve been a loyal customer of House of Japan for many years and have always appreciated the food, atmosphere, and service. Unfortunately, my recent visit on Motherās Day at 1:30 PM left me disappointed. To start, I was surprised to learn that lunch pricing was not available at all that day ā only dinner prices were being honored. While I understand special occasions often come with different policies, it would have been helpful and respectful to clearly state this on the website. Transparent communication would go a long way in managing customer expectations.Beyond the unexpected pricing, the quality of the food didnāt live up to House of Japanās usual standards. The fried rice was overcooked and dry, lacking the texture and flavor Iāve come to expect. The shrimp was also overdone and rubbery, which made the meal feel rushed and not carefully prepared ā especially surprising given the higher price point.Itās disappointing to say this, as Iāve always spoken highly of this restaurant and brought many friends and family over the years. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I would love to see House of Japan maintain the quality and consistency that originally made it a favorite of mine.
May 12, 2025 Ā· Tyler Frank4.5/5 ⨠- We had a great date night at this location. šFood = 4/5 ⨠- We got the Imperial Feast for two. I ordered white rice and my darling man opted for fried rice. I was worried about the oil content, and I was thinking long-term (aka leftovers, pic included and paired with home-grown yellow squash š). The soup was great, salad was tasty (could do with actual bacon bits, to up the taste-factor ante, but nobody asked me), and our chef was engaging and charismatic. Our food was great, and I particularly enjoyed the steak and vegetables. We both also ordered Sapporo beers to pair with our food, which is a great light beer, for those of you that are of age š and enjoy beer. š» Also, the bean sprouts were a clear enhancement of all the flavors.Service = 5/5 ⨠- Five out of seven of us caught the airborne rice š, so our chef was clearly superior. I don't make the rules.Atmosphere = 5/5 ⨠- No complaints. Don't throw coins in the pond. #KeepKoiAlive
