Fantastic experience. Server was attentive but distant enough to allow us time to enjoy our meal. Food was high quality. The nigiri melted in my mouth. We went for lunch. The Sushi Roll presentation was somewhat dull but the taste more than made up for it.Very excited to have a quality Japanese food destination!!Bill was $123 with tip. No alcohol.
December 12 · Gena CaudleMy husband and I came here for happy hour. Love the aesthetic of the place. Clean and vibe was cool. Good to know we dont have to go to Boulder to try this place when we have one right in town. We are foodies so I had to try many things. We ordered apps such as goyza, steamed shumai, pork belly, seared beef app, fried tofu soup with mushrooms, green mussels, and miso soup. The pork belly was delish and prob the best app. We also ordered seared scallops, a Maki roll, a hand roll and Chicago roll. Sushi was good but always room for improvement. For cocktails, we ordered the cold sake which was yummy and the espresso martini drink..I would say I wished it was more thick and shaken more. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here because of our waitress Autumn! She told us it was her first night working there too! She was very pleasant and wonderful so I wanted to give her big kudos!! The bill came out to be $170 and we tipped Autumn 25% in addition 🙂
May 16 · Mai Shoua YangThe food was divine! So delicious, but only when we could get it....We came to Japango for our niece's sweet 16 on Friday 2/28 and it was a ROUGH night for service. Took a very long time to get drinks or food.. we were also seated next to a massive 15 top of very overserved belligerent patrons who were screaming and dry humping each other like it was Tony's rooftop.So, definitely wasn't the vibe or atmosphere we were going for. We were also SHOCKED that they were still be served trays of shots and more than 4 $180 bottles of wine when they were all clearly tanked- on the way out our server apologized for the evening unprovoked- everyone knew this table was disruptive-to the point that she also told us more than 3 parties had walked out before ordering because of the noise, but she still seemed to just like accept it? 😅 idk, thought that was strange...To the managers- I definitely wouldn't cater to tables like that in the future because it will hurt the rest of business for the night and probably turned those that stayed off from returning again in the future. But idk I give all the praise to the kitchen on this one cuz the food slapped and if we DO ever return we will just sit at the sushi bar 😇

We got the gilded bee sushi , the gf calamari, the boulder bowl and the fireside mule (topped with a giant housemade marshmallow), and it was all out of this world. I’ve been a few times and they have consistently great service and consistently amazing food. I highly recommend trying this spot if you haven’t already! 🍣 🍸 🐙
