Have been here quite a few times, a hidden gem located in a penthouse! Their menu is consistently great highlighting seasonal ingredients, hospitality is unbeatable and the experience has always been superb. Chef Sono San is warm, funny and welcoming. Bonus point — they have an extensive list on their drink menu, as a seasoned nihonshu lover personally I think they curate the best sake menu in New York City.

So much thought, effort me precision is put into every one of these dishes. There were 10 savory courses and 3 dessert courses. We were so full and had to take the last 2 dessert courses home. Everything was delicious but the mackerel was way too fishy for me and the wagyu was a bit too fatty. Other than that a perfect meal. They also include a tin of cookies and a mayo for all the guests to take home.

From the delicately curated space to the well assorted menu, from the mind blowing desserts to the warm sobacha that accompanies you home on a cold winter day.
