Kazan Beverly Hills Reviews
Kazan Beverly Hills offers a refined and elevated take on traditional ramen. As a Michelin Plate–recognized restaurant, the quality and attention to detail are clear, from the elegant plating to the in-house handmade noodles.I tried the Chashu Supreme and Lei Ramen. The Chashu Supreme was the standout—tender, beautifully torched pork with a clean, well-balanced broth and firm, fresh noodles that held up well throughout the meal. The Lei Ramen was much lighter, with a delicate, almost citrusy broth. It’s refreshing, but might feel too subtle if you’re used to rich, bold ramen flavors. The ambiance is quiet and minimalist, more like a fine dining experience than a casual noodle spot. Service was excellent—polite, prompt, and knowledgeable.Portions are on the smaller side, and prices are high (around $30–$40 per bowl), so it’s not a budget-friendly option. But if you’re looking for handcrafted ramen with premium ingredients and a clean, upscale vibe, Kazan is worth a visit. Not your typical comfort ramen spot, but great for those who appreciate subtle flavors and culinary craftsmanship.
April 30 · Y TI ordered #3 creamy fusion, marked as one of the most popular. The broth tasted only like truffle, covering any of the actual broth flavors and it had way too many raw onions on top. Additionally, the thick noodles came all stuck to each other, even having 3 noodles together in some parts, which at 38 dollars I find it quite unacceptable. The pork was really nice though. Two friends ordered other ones that were better, but still I don’t believe it’s worth the steep price.
August 17 · Jose Miguel AcitoresTypically, we have not had much luck with BH Asian restaurants as they tend to be much higher-priced dumbed down versions of the same restaurant in SGV or Tokyo or whatnot. Especially when they self describe as “innovative fusion.” But something about what I read about this place made me want to give them a shot. Yes, they are Michelin BibGourmand. Plus, the chef Ryu Isobe (who hails from Tokyo) is very proud of his on prem “noodle factory” and how all the different types of noodles are hand crafted everyday; he sounded like the Japanese equivalent of Evan Funke. So off we went, knowing that we might be disappointed. Quite the opposite. The starters were just great. Crispy Renkon (lotus.) Two great farmers market salads with many ingredients and light, flavorful dressings. Shrimp tempura that looks like it might be too thin, but it was perfectly crunchy and super fresh, never frozen. The sake fried wings were really special; crispy and delectable with fabulous flavor. Wagyu carpacchio was a good start for the Bordeaux. The only miss for me was the lamb chops which should have been seared. All of this before the Ramen. Yes, they readily omitted the truffle oil from all dishes on request. From there, we tried a few different kinds. You can pick your noodles, whether or not you want shio (salt) or soy (“rich”) or creamy. Pork or chicken base. Spicy or no. And add-ins of whatever ingredients you want more of. Their chashu pork was thickly cut and succulent. The Chicken leg actually included part of the back and was a generous and delcious portion. I was most excited about the chicken, but in the end I thought the pork had more flavor depth. We will go back, but max of 6, it is a tiny place. $30 corkage. #thefoodietraveler
July 28 · Andrea HoffmanThe truffle Chicken is the best Ramen I’ve ever had in my life and Wontons are to die for! And the Owner is very friendly, very professional, sometimes he gives the best deals and he picks up the phone! I Highly recommend!
July 29 · Kenya WattsFor the price, I feel like there are better options for ramen that are in the area. The noodles are great and the broth is really clean, but I also felt like the #9 was way too rich. The truffle oil was overpowering and I wasn’t able to finish it. The leia was good though. $33 for a bowl of ramen was a little on the high said. At that price point it needs to be comparatively amazing to the competition. I much prefer ramen nagi. You also need to pay $12 for valet parking unless there’s available street parking.
