Kenbey Sushi, positioned as an elevated and intimate Japanese dining destination in Los Angeles, focuses its "promotions" primarily on its meticulously crafted omakase experiences and the quality of its à la carte offerings, rather than traditional discounts. The inherent value lies in the premium ingredients and the chef's expertise.
The main "special offers" and value propositions at Kenbey Sushi include:
Tiered Omakase Menus: Kenbey offers structured omakase options that provide a curated culinary journey. These include the "Kenbey Omakase" (priced at $180) and an even more luxurious "Kenbey Omakase With Miyazaki A5 Wagyu Steak" (at $230). These menus are designed to showcase the freshest seasonal ingredients and Chef Kenji's mastery, offering a comprehensive and unique dining experience that acts as its own special event.
Curated À La Carte Selection: While omakase is highly recommended, the extensive à la carte menu itself provides a flexible "offer." Diners can select specific premium sushi, sashimi, and appetizers, allowing them to tailor their experience to their preferences and budget while still enjoying high-quality ingredients.
Lunch Service: The availability of lunch service from Wednesday to Saturday (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM) can be considered a special offering. Often, lunch menus at high-quality sushi restaurants might offer slightly different pricing or specific lunch sets that provide excellent value for a midday indulgence compared to dinner pricing.
Specialty Ingredients: The menu frequently features premium and sometimes rare fish (like Blue Fin Toro or Hokkaido Uni), which are "special" items that enhance the dining experience and differentiate Kenbey from more casual sushi spots.
It's important for patrons to note that for a restaurant of Kenbey Sushi's caliber, the "promotion" is the quality of the food, the skill of the chef, and the overall dining ambiance. They attract customers through their reputation for excellence rather than through discounted prices. For the most current information on any seasonal omakase themes or specific special offerings, it is always best to visit their official website or contact Kenbey Sushi directly.

Kenbey Sushi Reviews
We really enjoyed our dining experience at Kenbey. The sushi is fresh and you can tell the chef cares about each piece he serves. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of 3 things. The first is that I didn’t like the sauce that came on the hirame and the sauce on the albacore with the slice of garlic. Second, we tried the Hokkaido uni, it was a very dark orange (so not the freshest - we should have gone with the Santa Barbara uni) and so bland and flavorless. Third, for the prices they could add some decoration.I would still recommend trying Kenbey. The service was excellent and overall pretty good!
