Dec 15, 2024 · Miu nakaKokko is an absolute gem in San Mateo! I had an amazing dinner here, and everything was cooked to perfection. The chicken karaage was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. The takoyaki was perfectly soft with just the right amount of chewiness and savory goodness. The rice ball had a delightful smoky char, adding an extra depth of flavor. The ambiance is cozy, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you’re craving authentic Japanese flavors, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Mar 02, 2025 · Shivam H PrasadCame here on a whim and a need for a yakitori fix. The staff is really nice and they hustle.Takoyaki and agedashi tofu were awesome. The tara namban was flavorful. The star of the show was the beni imo gelato dessert. Id come back just to have that again. The yaki tori was hit or miss. The pork and chicken skin was awesome. The beef was a bit overcooked and the same with the chicken hearts. That said, it was good enough to warrant a second visit to make a final judgement.
Mar 01, 2025 · S SS3 good friends got together for a last minute late dinner, so we didn’t order as much as usual but still satisfying. The skewers were amazing, and the Unagi Don had lots of sauce which is the way I like it to go with the rice. Chicken cartilage was a great dish to go with a cold beer.
