Kokoro Craft Udon Reviews
Authentic taste.Good udon is one of the dishes I really miss from Japan. I feel really lucky to have this restaurant open in my area. The spicy/regular cold beef udon are the way to go. The noodles are bouncy and the taste of the broth is complex. I used to drive an hour down to porter square whenever I was craving it, but now I can just come here. The service is very good and just like the noodle bars in Japan. You order and pay ahead of time, enjoy the meal as soon as it comes out, and leave. This is a feature not a bug. I'd dismiss the reviews about the service being poor and music being bad, that's likely just the old money in this town talking.Hope this restaurant does well because it's going to be a staple for me.That yuzu cheesecake tho.
Apr 20, 2025 · Kevin WuNice experience. Jan was so warm the moment we walked in, and seated us even though we were close to the kitchen's closing time. The decor was cute. My partner took the niku udon and loved it (he's from Singapore and said it was very close to what he's had there). I took the gyudon rice bowl and loved it. The rice tasted really good with the beef! But I felt the beef: rice ratio can be improved. Overall, nice experience and I would be back again. Also, Jan is very warm and sweet!!
Feb 20, 2025 · Sharanya SarkarDisclaimer- I came at the end of their lunch hours so I was the only customer.Really great tasting udon- I got the Spicy Niku. Service was good, I was immediately given water and complimentary hot tea which was nice. Since I was the only one there, my udon came very quickly. I’m shocked at the portion; they gave me so much meat I couldn’t even finish. Atmosphere is so nice and intimate. They also play Japanese hip hop (I think) which was a nice touch to the ambiance. Digital dine in was user friendly.
Jan 16, 2025 · Kim NguyenThe food tasted really good, especially the broth—it was clear and not too sweet, which I really liked. I've tried several udon places near Boston, but this one stands out. If you're craving something authentic, I highly recommend this place. P.S. The spicy sauce was quite hot, so if you're not into spicy food, it's better to ask for it on the side.
Jun 16, 2024 · Jiyoung ChangKokoro Craft Udon for a couple weeks and they're still doing their soft opening so the menu is currently cold niku udon/spicy cold niku and hot udon. The noodles are delicious and my preferred is the spicy cold niku udon.Owner is nice. Came over to ask how me and my friend's like her dishes and we were honest and let her know everything was great. She explained that when they are no longer in a soft opening period, there will be more udon dishes. She noted a curry udon dish will be coming. Can't wait.
