The noodles themselves are described as "perfect," a crucial element often overlooked in lesser establishments. A particular highlight is the black garlic soup base, praised for its savory, sweet, and smooth profile, offering a depth of flavor that is truly exceptional. For those who enjoy soft-boiled eggs, Kumako Ramen's eggs are noted for their juicy texture, perfectly complementing the ramen.
Beyond ramen, Kumako Ramen offers a compelling array of appetizers and other dishes that are equally celebrated. The gyoza, Japanese dumplings, receive high praise for their ideal texture – crispy on one side, soft on the other, and wonderfully juicy inside. Deep-fried oysters are another popular choice, with customers commending their crispiness and the good size of the oysters, ensuring they are not overwhelmed by batter. The pork tonkatsu is also highlighted for its perfectly crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality across its menu.

This organic word-of-mouth endorsement is perhaps the most effective form of advertising, as it comes from genuine customer satisfaction. The enduring popularity of Kumako Ramen, with customers returning for years, speaks volumes about its quality and appeal. For new customers, the sheer volume of positive feedback and the consistent recommendation from locals provide a strong incentive to visit. Kumako Ramen Reviews
Kumako Ramen never disappoints. I’ve been coming here for years and will continue for many more. The Bay Area is known for its excellent Japanese food, but the ramen at this shop stands out. Rich, flavorful, and consistently delicious. The recipe never changes, so you can always count on that familiar, satisfying taste. The curry is another standout, packed with deep, comforting flavors that make it the perfect dish. The service is always warm and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. While the line can be long, it’s well worth the wait. Rain or shine, I’ll always be in line for my turn.
March 18 · Marce CoralWe come as a recommendation from a friend in early evening to avoid the crowds. The service lady, who is also the owner of the shop, is very attentive to the customers. The food was great. The Takoyaki is meaty and crispy. The gyoza is crispy on one side and soft on the other, and juicy inside. Deep fried oysters are crispy and good size oyster not too big and not too much batter. The ramens are excellent. The noodles are perfect compared to many popular franchises. Black garlic soup base is so savory, sweet and smooth at the same time. The eggs are juicy if you like soft boiled. The pork tonkatsu is crispy but the meat is tender and juicy.
March 07 · Man DoI used to love coming to this place because of their chili ramen, but for some reason it lacked flavor this last time I went. It is difficult to find parking and the parking is paid, unless it's Sunday. The place is small and they cannot fit a group bigger than 4 unless is a slow day. The waiter who served us seemed nice at first, but when we asked for a fork and something else, she looked irritated. I love ramen places that have kids ramen in their menu so this is a plus.
December 09 · Mayra DeleonVery good food. I have never enjoyed calamari or octopus but I've always had an open mind to try it from different restaurant. This place has both and they tasted great. Also the Pork Katsu is bomb filled me up. Drinks on point. Server was amazing she was very nice. Will come back again for sure.
May 26 · Edwardo MontejanoOur server was so sweet. Food was amazing. Weren’t stingy with the meet. Will definitely be back for the curry.
