Had a great experience at Kura in Edison, NJ. Brought my wife here as a Pre-Birthday celebration, and to enjoy something different. It was new and exciting, from the musical robot that brough our drinks and the instant sushi carousel, the speed demon plate delivery system that shot our dessert choice directly to the table, and the kind and courteous staff, we had a great time. We arrive promptly when the doors first opened at 11am on a Thursday morning, and I believe we were one of the first (if not the first) to come in to dine and it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant and facilities were clean and it is definitely a place I would not mind coming back to on a special occasion. My wife and I very much enjoyed our time here, especially after sending off 15 plates and winning a keychain for doing so. It was a fun time out that we've needed.

This rotating sushi bar is a fun experience if you’ve never tried it. The plates are small, usually 2-4 pieces for about $3-$4 each, which is a bit pricier than regular sushi spots. If you eat enough plates, an animated video plays on the screen at your table and a keychain drops from a dispenser thats at the top of your seat. It’s fun, but the price can add up fast!

And if you order any drinks, an adorable autonomous service robot will bring them right to you.It’s a great place for a casual date, a family outing, or a fun gathering with friends. If you're dining solo, you can sit at the bar, but if you're with two people, try to grab a booth. Each booth seats four comfortably, six but you're all going to be close and cozy.The food is solid, and while it’s not the most mind-blowing Japanese cuisine, the emphasis here is really on the fun experience. Plus, if you order 15 dishes, you get a prize, which adds to the playful atmosphere.The staff is friendly and attentive, and they do a great job of keeping the place clean and tidy. It’s a lively spot that offers both good food and a lot of entertainment value.

Declining service level. I used to be a good fan of this place, visit ever other week despite the costs might not just justify the food. In recent months I see substantial declining the service at this place. For example, on Monday the place suppose to open at 11am but the door is locked until 11:30. Went in, the tables were still being prepared for opening. Dishes are in bins on the floor. I sat down for 5 mins, no food, no eating utensils, no wait staff paying attention to anyone. So I got up and left. What a shame. Not sure if owner is aware of the issue with services
