More than just a place to grab a quick bite, Naruto Ramen aims to transport diners to the bustling streets of Tokyo with its unique "Tokyo bar style" setup and a menu dedicated to quality ramen. In a city brimming with diverse culinary offerings, finding a spot that truly specializes and excels in a particular cuisine can be a challenge, but Naruto Ramen has carved out a niche by focusing on delivering delicious bowls of noodles with efficiency and a distinctive atmosphere.
Naruto Ramen, located in the heart of New York City, offers a specialized and focused ramen experience that prioritizes flavor and efficiency. It’s known for its authentic Tokyo bar-style seating, which means you’ll often find yourself at a counter, enjoying your meal with a direct view of the kitchen—an engaging and lively environment. The menu is crafted to deliver classic ramen dishes, along with a selection of appetizers and drinks, making it a perfect spot for a quick, delicious, and satisfying meal. Despite its often "cozy" or "tight" space, as described by customers, the emphasis is on a fast turnaround without compromising the quality and authenticity of the food. It's a place where the ramen takes center stage, and the experience is designed to be efficient yet enjoyable.
Naruto Ramen is conveniently situated at 1596 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10128, USA. This address places it firmly in the vibrant Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan, making it highly accessible for residents and visitors alike. Being on 3rd Avenue means it's well-connected by New York City's extensive public transportation network. Numerous bus lines run along 3rd Avenue, and it's within walking distance of subway stations (such as the Q and 6 lines), providing easy access from various parts of Manhattan and beyond. For locals, it's a neighborhood fixture, easy to pop into for lunch or dinner. While the interior might be "a bit tight," its prime location ensures it's a convenient destination for a delicious ramen fix. Local street parking can be a challenge, as is typical for Manhattan, so public transit or ride-shares are often recommended.
Naruto Ramen is geared towards providing a straightforward and satisfying ramen experience, catering to both dine-in guests and those who prefer to enjoy their meal elsewhere.

Naruto Ramen has cultivated a distinct identity and loyal following through several key features that set it apart in the bustling NYC food scene:
- Authentic Tokyo Bar Style: This is a defining characteristic. The seating arrangement, typically a counter where you can "sit right at the counter" and "watch the chefs cooking," creates an "authentic" and "unique" vibe, reminiscent of ramen shops in Japan.
- Clear and Fresh Broths: Unlike some heavier ramen broths, customers highlight that the broth for dishes like the "spicy naruto ramen" is "clear and fresh." This offers a lighter, yet still flavorful, alternative to typical thick broths.
- Delicious and Focused Menu: While simple, the menu is celebrated for its quality. Options like "Spicy Naruto Ramen," "Tonkotsu Ramen," "Miso Ramen," "Veggie Miso Ramen," and "Tan Tan Ramen" are popular choices. Appetizers like "Pork Gyoza" and "Takoyaki" are also well-regarded. The "simple menu eliminates debating what to order," making decisions easy.
- Quick Service: Many reviews commend the "quick and easy service," with ramen often coming out within 10 minutes. This efficiency is highly valued in a fast-paced city like New York.
- Cozy and Intimate Atmosphere: While "a bit tight," the restaurant is described as "cozy" and having a "cute place" vibe. This creates an intimate setting for enjoying your meal. They also have coat hooks for convenience.
- Anime-Inspired Decor: For fans, the restaurant sometimes features subtle anime posters and artwork (though some note a mix of different anime like One Piece, despite the name "Naruto Ramen"), adding a playful touch to the ambiance.
- Outdoor Seating Available: For those who prefer more space or an open-air dining experience, "covered outdoor seating" is available, often with "space heaters" for comfort during cooler months, providing "lots of room" compared to the indoor counter.
- Vegan and Vegetarian Options: The menu includes dedicated options such as "Veggie Miso Ramen" and "Veggie Shoyu Ramen" with kale noodles and various vegetables like tofu, broccoli, and bok choy, catering to diverse dietary needs.
While specific, regularly advertised promotions might not be prominently listed outside the establishment, it is common for ramen restaurants in New York City to offer seasonal specials or lunch deals that provide excellent value. For the most up-to-date information on any potential promotions or special offers at Naruto Ramen, it is always recommended to check their official online presence (if available, through delivery platforms) or to call them directly. Local gems like Naruto Ramen often have daily specials or unique limited-time bowls that cater to the changing seasons or introduce new flavors. Keep an eye out for potential combination deals on ramen and appetizers, especially during off-peak hours, as these can be a great way to experience more of their menu.

Naruto Ramen Reviews
It was delicious! A cozy place but a bit tight, not a place to stay for long. I tried the spicy naruto ramen, it’s not like a typical japanese thick broth, it’s clear and fresh.Def will go back another time:)
May 27, 2025 · Vanessa AudreyTokyo bar style Ramen restaurant- sit right at the counter, quick and easy service for a delicious Ramen with a beer. The simple menu eliminates debating what to order- despite all options looking great! Will certainly be back!
Apr 10, 2025 · Elliot HoareThe flavor isn’t the best, but it’s not the worst either. They cook in front of you, and it’s always packed. The ramen bowl is a good portion. It’s not the best ramen, but it’s okay. The noodles aren’t the best or the most authentic. The gyoza are frozen, not freshly made. Everything seems pre-packaged and just heated before serving. Nothing special. Friendly service. The people cooking are very kind and open for conversation!
Mar 12, 2025 · Valeria Escrich[NYC Ramen series 1]Ramen is one of my fav food and I have always hunted for great ramen place across the world including Japan. It was the first meal I had after moving to NYC from Boston, and I was quite disappointed at the bar for 4.x review in NYC.Most ingredients seemed like it was sourced from japanese wholesale groceries. I was surprised to see chef throwing packaged noodle into seemingly package based broth. Workers were all latinx people. American pop music was playing. One piece photos on the wall. The taste and quality are similar to those cheap/non-popular places you can find near train stations in Japan maybe? I wouldn't go back and will continue searching for my go-to place in NYC for ramen.Follow me to continue this journey with me.
May 18, 2025 · yi shCurry ramen is very delicious but don’t order if you’re wearing a white shirt :)Prices are solid and great value. Ramen comes out within 10min. You can’t go wrong with the basic Naruto ramen. They do have vegetarian ramen here.First come first serve, your entire party has to be there to be seated. There’s a clipboard + paper for you to write your name and party size on. Was very busy at 8pm Friday but not a long wait, empty around 9:30pm.
