Madison Avenue itself is an iconic thoroughfare, known for its corporate headquarters, upscale shopping, and a diverse array of dining establishments, making it a bustling and highly convenient area for both residents and visitors.

Its prominence on Madison Avenue ensures it's easy to find, adding to the overall convenience of dining at NONONO.
---NONONO offers a diverse and extensive range of services and menu items, making it a versatile Japanese restaurant catering to various dining preferences and occasions.
Dine-In Service: The restaurant provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere described as "roomy and comfortable without being overly bougie." It's an excellent spot for a casual dinner, a social gathering, or even a solo dining experience. The staff is noted as "quick and attentive but not overbearing."
Grilled Skewers (Yakitori/Kushiyaki): A highly recommended and standout offering. Customers are encouraged to "just get one of each and try them all," with specific praise for the "pork belly" and "chicken" skewers, which come out "crispy and golden and still piping hot."
Sushi & Sashimi: NONONO offers a selection of sushi and sashimi, with even a "standard spicy tuna roll" receiving high praise for its "good amount of fish" and "not too much rice." This suggests attention to detail even in classic offerings.
Mix Tartare: This appetizer is specifically highlighted as "such a good blend of super crispy chips, fresh fish and a light blend of avocado, roe, and ponzu sauce," indicating creative and well-executed small plates.
Cod Cream Udon: Described as an "absolute favorite" and a must-try "comfort food," this dish is lauded for its "creamy yet so light" sauce, "chewy and thick" noodles, and "perfect accompaniment" of seafood mushrooms. It's so popular that one reviewer "still get the cod cream udon every time."
Full Japanese Menu: While specific items are highlighted, the overall impression is of "so much of variety," suggesting a comprehensive menu beyond just skewers and sushi, likely including other Japanese appetizers, entrees, and perhaps noodle dishes.
Beverage Service: Although not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, the context of a "bar" in its name and a Midtown location typically implies a full beverage menu, including Japanese beers, sake, wine, and cocktails.
NONONO stands out in the competitive New York dining scene due to a remarkable set of features and highlights that consistently deliver a positive experience to its patrons.
Consistently Excellent Food Quality: The most resounding highlight is the sentiment that "everything on the menu just HITs." Customers rave that food "tastes so dang good," and "everything comes out looking amazing and tasting even better." This consistency across a varied menu is a significant achievement and a major draw for discerning New Yorkers.
Exceptional Grilled Skewers (Yakitori): Their grilled skewers are a definite top pick, described as "crispy and golden and still piping hot." The pork belly is hailed as the "best," with chicken a close second. The recommendation to "get one of each and try them all" underscores their popularity and quality.
Must-Try Cod Cream Udon: This dish receives immense praise, called an "absolute favorite" and the ultimate "comfort food." Its "creamy yet so light" sauce and perfectly chewy noodles create a unique and unforgettable experience, compelling many to order it repeatedly. This signature dish alone is a reason to visit.
High-Quality Sushi and Creative Appetizers: Even standard items like the spicy tuna roll are noted for their quality (good fish, balanced rice). The "mix tartare" highlights their creativity, praised for its blend of "super crispy chips, fresh fish and a light blend of avocado, roe, and ponzu sauce," showcasing a thoughtful approach to small plates.
Comfortable and Roomy Ambiance: The seating is described as "roomy and comfortable without being overly bougie." This creates a relaxed yet refined dining environment, suitable for various occasions without feeling pretentious. The inviting space adds significantly to the overall enjoyment.
Attentive and Non-Overbearing Staff: The service is consistently praised as "quick and attentive but not overbearing." This strikes a perfect balance, ensuring guests feel well-cared for without being rushed or intruded upon, contributing to a truly pleasant dining experience.
Reasonably Priced with Great Variety: Despite the high quality, the food is noted as "reasonably priced," especially considering the extensive variety on the menu. This combination of value and choice makes NONONO an attractive option for regular dining in Midtown.
Based on the provided customer reviews, NONONO's strong appeal lies in its consistent quality and perceived value rather than explicit, limited-time promotional offers. The recurring sentiment that the food is "reasonably priced" and that "everything on the menu just HITs" acts as an inherent promotion in itself. Customers feel they are getting excellent quality and variety for their money, making it a compelling choice for everyday dining and special occasions alike.
While specific discounts or loyalty programs are not mentioned, establishments of NONONO's caliber often have subtle "promotions" in the form of seasonal menu additions, chef's specials, or happy hour offerings for drinks and appetizers. These are typically communicated in-house or through their own direct marketing channels. Given its location in Midtown, it may also participate in corporate lunch programs or local business partnerships, though this is not confirmed by the reviews. For the most up-to-date information on any potential specials, including happy hour details or unique seasonal dishes, it is always recommended for patrons to check directly with the restaurant or visit their official website if available. The primary "special offer" at NONONO appears to be the consistently delicious and satisfying dining experience it provides.

NONONO Reviews
There's good food everywhere in NYC, but then there are places where everything on the menu just HITs. Reasonably priced and so much of variety, this place has food that just tastes so dang good. Everything comes out looking amazing and tasting even better. The seating is roomy and comfortable without being overly bougie, the staff are quick and attentive but not overbearing. My top picks:All the grilled skewers - pork belly is the best imo, but the chicken a close second - came out crispy and golden and still piping hot. Not a bad idea to just get one of each and try them all.Sushi/sashimi - even a standard spicy tuna roll was great; not too much rice, a good amount of fish. The mix tartare was such a good blend of super crispy chips, fresh fish and a light blend of avocado, roe, and ponzu sauce.Absolute favorite:The cod cream Udon. If you come for comfort food and get nothing else, get this. If warm, soft, and cuddly weren't weird words used to describe food I'd use them. The sauce is so creamy yet so light, and the Udon noodles are just enough to feel chewy and thick while still feeling like they melt in your mouth. The smattering of seafood mushrooms is the perfect accompaniment, adding a bit of earthiness and texture along w the garnish on top. I have yet to try out everything on the menu here but I still get the cod cream udon every time.
April 22 · jannaqA friend visiting the city picked it for dinner. The location was convenient. The restaurant is nice and the staff was very helpful. The quality / price is not great. The food setting is amazing and it looks just like the pictures from the menu. The food tasted good but not great. I was expecting it to be better based on the price. I would not recommend it. The best were the rolls and a mushroom platter we ordered. The rest disappointed a little. To be fair I will say the place had a crowd and it might be that it might just be us.
April 22 · Carlos Vivas AugierEverything we ordered was fantastic! They have a huge variety of authentic Japanese dishes, and the quality far exceeded our expectations, especially at those prices. The sushi was amazing, Crunchy Tuna Tartar roll with tempura flakes was my personal favorite. Also, the salmon hand roll was great, it was really fun to assemble ourselves. Also, we loved Yakitori Angus Prime which was very flavorful and juicy. We had a reservation for a Thursday night, the place was full, so definitely a popular spot. I’d love to come back and try more from the menu!
May 11 · Mary GrantWOW I loved this place! Went with a friend after work on a weekday with a reservation and the food was phenomenal. The quality of food on each dish was nothing less than outstanding, and you can tell each plate was thoughtfully composed. I described the atmosphere as “approachable chic” — very low key but with personality. Staff was extremely friendly and plates came out swiftly. Already planning my next after work dinner plans here!
January 27 · Cecilia McGuinnessThe Izakaya style food here is yummy with a decent decor. I particularly love the tender buttery Wagu beef, juicy crispy shrimp katsu and their perfectly grilled chicken skewer (generous delicious sauce over the rice). Their beautiful cocktails were perfectly made too. You could also choose from a good variety of their lunch specials with a decent price too.
