Norikaya Reviews
Stopped by for a late afternoon snack on. Sunday. We tried their yellowtail crudo and a couple of handrolls. I love scallops so I had to try theirs. Sadly it wasn’t what I expected for a seared scallop. It wasn’t bad, but the other flavors overpowered the scallop taste.Their blue crab handroll was pretty good though and it had a lot of filling that was actually hard to keep in the roll! Would I go here again? Possibly if I was already in the area.Service was super friendly.
Apr 23, 2025 · T GI was here a few weeks ago thanks to a recommendation from a colleague. I'm usually not a fan of fusion, but Norikaya was a pleasent surprise. I want to call it a more upscale Kazunori with a unique twist. Don't be afraid to try the hand rolls with poprocks and another with strawberries and unagi. I was worried at first, but from the aesthetics to its taste, everything was a favorably delicious. The service also felt upscale and the waitress fully explained all the menu and questions we had. Would definitely visit again in the future!
Jan 26, 2025 · David YuhNorikaya is a hidden gem in LA! The unagi strawberry temaki was our favorite – sweet, savory, and really unique. We also loved the tropical salmon, it was so fresh and light! The staff were super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. They even recommended a delicious sake that we ended up loving. If you're looking for a fun and delicious night out, definitely would recommend!
Dec 08, 2024 · May ChenI went there for my birthday with my friendsThe server? host? Ashley did an amazing job taking care of us. She was really attentive and did a great job explaining the menu. The atmosphere was relaxed (although it did get noisier later as the seats filled) with loungey vibey edm.The food was so great though, there wasn't anything we didn't like. My favorites were the yellowtail serrano, shishito peppers, rock shrimp, and yellowtail temaki. I was seriously impressed by the rock shrimp because I hate shrimp in most cases but they cooked it perfectly! It didn't have that super shrimpy seafood aroma and it wasn't overcooked. We also tried the tropical salmon, crispy rice, spicy edamame, furikake fries and yuzu granita. The yuzu granita was so delicious, especially the coconut cream!Their cocktails were also great, you can't go wrong with any of them. My favorite was the yuzu blossom, it had a beautiful fresh yuzu flavor to it. The shochu highball is delicious as well if you like something a not sweet and more refreshing.
May 25, 2025 · Ashley WenFrom appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations! My sister and I especially enjoyed the appetizers, yellowtail sashimi, hand rolls and napa cabbage salad! They have a variety of food choices and beverage options as well. The place is very clean and modern. The server was very nice too. Highly recommended!”
