Oishi Teriyaki Introduce
For residents across California, particularly those in the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles, Oishi Teriyaki offers a convenient and accessible option for satisfying Japanese comfort food. Located in a bustling part of the city, this establishment specializes in classic teriyaki dishes, hearty bowls, and a variety of other Japanese-inspired plates designed to deliver flavor and value. While not a high-end sushi bar, Oishi Teriyaki caters to those seeking a reliable, quick, and fulfilling meal.
Oishi Teriyaki's menu centers around popular Japanese staples, with a strong emphasis on their namesake teriyaki. Customers frequently praise their Chicken Teriyaki Plate and Chicken & Beef Teriyaki Plate as top choices, known for their grilled meats, rice, and accompanying sides. Beyond the traditional, they also offer a surprising array of options including various fried rice dishes, bento boxes, and even an "Oishi Burger" that has garnered positive attention.
Reviews indicate that Oishi Teriyaki is a go-to spot for dependable, generous portions of familiar Japanese fare. While some may find aspects of the experience basic or prices a bit higher than expected for the style of dining, the overall consensus points to satisfying flavors and a wide selection. It's the kind of place you turn to for a hearty, flavorful meal, whether you're grabbing a quick bite during a busy day or ordering in for a convenient dinner at home.
Oishi Teriyaki is situated at 1830 W 8th St B, Los Angeles, CA 90057, USA. This location places it within a dynamic and densely populated area of Los Angeles, bordering or closely accessible to Koreatown and the Pico-Union district. For locals throughout California, particularly those in the L.A. Basin, this address offers relatively convenient access, especially for quick pickups or delivery.
Eighth Street is a well-traveled urban artery, making the restaurant identifiable and reachable by car. As is common in many urban parts of Los Angeles, dedicated private parking for a smaller establishment like Oishi Teriyaki might be limited. Customers should anticipate relying on street parking, which is typically metered in this area, or potentially small shared lots if the restaurant is part of a larger complex. While the provided customer review notes a frustrated search for a restroom and parking, this experience is common in dense urban environments and highlights the typical parking challenges in such areas. It's always advisable to allocate extra time for parking or consider alternative transportation.
Public transportation is a strong advantage of this location. Numerous Metro bus lines operate along 8th Street and adjacent major thoroughfares like Olympic Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, offering extensive connectivity. The area is also reasonably close to Metro Rail stations, further linking it to other parts of Los Angeles for those who prefer not to drive. This makes Oishi Teriyaki accessible to a wide range of local diners who commute via public transit. Given its focus on takeout and delivery, its easy accessibility for drivers making a quick stop or for delivery services further enhances its convenience for the local community.
Oishi Teriyaki offers a comprehensive menu focused on Japanese comfort food, primarily specializing in teriyaki dishes, bowls, and other casual Japanese fare. Their services cater well to both quick dine-in meals and convenient off-premise dining.

-
Third-Party Delivery Platform Promotions: Oishi Teriyaki is widely available on popular food delivery services such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub. These platforms frequently run their own promotions, which Oishi Teriyaki often opts into. These can include:
- "Free item with purchase" deals: For example, a "Tempura California Roll" might be free with a $40 purchase, or a "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" offer on certain beverages.
- Percentage or dollar amount off orders: Discounts for new users, or for orders exceeding a certain value.

Oishi Teriyaki Reviews
I ordered the Burger ๐ it was Good...
March 11 ยท Jose ArevaloWhat's going on here?! I've been waiting twenty minutes, got in an argument with a laundromat worker, almost peed myself trying to find the restroom...I remembered being here before after she rung me up and my meal mysteriously came to almost $20. This plate better not be like their cheap/expensive Top "Ramen Bowl". It all came back to me. Ugh! How did I fall for this place again?! Dang kids wanted burger king, that's how.OK, it went up a few stars, but this location really messed it up.
June 21 ยท Mario's MischiefThe place is clean, there's 3 tables you can eat at.Most of people order to go.The foods nice, employees were polite.Decent price.I like the beef & ribs.
September 14 ยท MinsooMy daughter and her baby daddy took me here while I was visiting. I will be back๐ฏ I have never heard of beef fried rice but ooowee it was ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ! My daughter had the beef bento box and he had teriyaki chicken I think. It's inside with the Laundromat, burger king and that's cool. There's others there. The "game room" is ok inside laundry but Pacman is not very playable due to wonky joystick ๐น๏ธ
August 05 ยท ShereidaDo you like fresh ingredients? Do you like fair prices? Do you like good portion sizes? Then DONT come here! The food always, every single time, tastes old, as though the ingredients were from the week prior. On top of that, the prices are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. $9.00 for 8 pieces of shrimp tempura roll, except it's 90% rice. The pictures are incredibly misleading. $8.00 for a 4x4 Togo box consisting of rice, old meat, and a deluge of sauce. The only thing they give generous servings of here is the sauce, since it's needed to cover up the garbage they serve. Don't come here, save your money, you can do better. This is LA, there's tons of alternatives if you look around.
