OSAKA TON KATSU Reviews
Amazing taste of Osaka right here in Columbus! Everything was amazing and you couldn’t ask for better people to be running it. We ate so much the wife had to come home and take a nap! You won’t regret trying this place. Don’t forget to try to pickled veggies, they are genius to add some citrus to it and really bring a new level of freshness to it.
May 18, 2025 · Dustin WadeFirst time having Tonkatsu, it was fantastic. Perfectly crispy fried cutlet that's somehow neither oily nor heavy. The sauces are house made, the soup and salad were light and fresh. The presentation is immaculate and the owner is nice. My meal was $21 with a tip, very fair. Definitely try it out!!!
May 21, 2025 · AlexThis is a genuine tonkatsu restaurant in Columbus! I was quite skeptical when I first saw this place on Instagram. I had been to previous restaurants, including a poke place, and my impression was that the same owner had simply changed the menu. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The first bite of tonkatsu was incredibly crispy on the outside and incredibly tender on the inside. I could tell that they had put a lot of effort into making this tonkatsu. The cabbage salad was also amazing. I live in Dublin, and I wish this place was closer! But I will definitely make more visits because it’s that good.
Apr 23, 2025 · Myoung LWhat a cute little store and so inviting. The owners did a great job at creating a warm and cool environment. There's street and garage parking available around the area. There's a decent amount of seating inside, including big tables and single seats. They're still expanding their menu and items but all what they had was very good. We got the Katsu Curry and Ton Katsu Teishoku. The chicken and pork were cooked well, not dry, and breaded with quality panko. Their miso soup is rich and delicious! I would recommend upgrading to their Ton Jiru soup, it's very good.Everything was decently priced, seasoned well, and felt authentic. I think the pork cutlet has been the best I've had in town! Their sauces were so good and the entire meal was flavorful, made well, and with quality ingredients! We got to speak to the owner for a bit and they're a wife and husband pair. They're both from Japan and many of the ingredients they use are imported from Japan. They take time to prep their meats and make sure that it's as authentic as possible. They talked to us about their experiences and their lives. The owners were so nice and gave us some samples of their soups, which we will be back for them all!I would recommend this place for authentic Japanese, good food, a great vibe, and to support a small business! Great place, we'll be back.
May 21, 2025 · V DI had a really delicious pork katsu with Japanese curry here for lunch. The food was fast and fresh, and the owner took the time to explain the menu to us as first-time customers. A great downtown lunch addition!
