What is Worth Choosing at Ramen Kazama?
With a menu that is focused but packed with flavor, choosing the perfect meal at Ramen Kazama is an exciting prospect. While every dish is prepared with care and high-quality ingredients, some items have become legendary among the local community. To experience the very best of what Ramen Kazama has to offer, here are some of the most recommended dishes and why they are worth choosing.
The Tonkotsu Ramen is the undisputed star of the show. Many a local ramen enthusiast will tell you this is their go-to bowl. The broth is a labor of love, a rich and creamy pork bone marrow concoction that is incredibly deep in flavor. Paired with tender pork, perfectly chewy noodles, and a soft-boiled egg, it is the ultimate comfort food and a fantastic introduction to what makes this restaurant special. If you’re a fan of spice, the Spicy Miso Ramen offers a flavorful kick that is perfectly balanced, with a deeply red miso broth that isn’t just hot but is packed with layers of taste from the spicy pork. For a lighter but equally flavorful option, the Shoyu Ramen with its chicken and pork broth is a delicate and delicious alternative.
Beyond the ramen, the appetizers are a must-try. The Karaage, or Japanese fried chicken, is frequently praised as a "sleeper hit." It's a generous portion of perfectly fried chicken thighs with a crispy, bubbly exterior and a juicy, tender interior, served with spicy mayo. It's so good that it could easily be a meal on its own, and it perfectly complements the rich flavors of the ramen broth. The Onigiri, or Japanese rice balls, are another excellent small plate, available with a variety of fillings like salmon, tuna mayo, or pickled plum. These are great for a quick snack or for adding another dimension to your meal.
For those who prefer something different, the Veggie Curry Ramen is an excellent choice. It’s a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to providing delicious options for all diets, with a flavorful veggie curry broth that is both healthy and satisfying. Finally, the dessert menu should not be ignored. The various Mille Crepe Cakes, like the Earl Gray or Chocolate, provide a light and elegant end to your meal, with layers of delicate crepe and rich cream that are a joy to eat. The combination of a fantastic and focused menu, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere makes Ramen Kazama a place that you will want to return to again and again.

Ramen Kazama Reviews
Tonkotsu ramen had tender pork, rich and flavorful broth, and perfectly chewy noodles. Chicken karaage was fantastic — definitely a sleeper hit. Vibes inside the restaurant are great with cool artwork and photos on the walls. I would definitely return to Ramen Kazama!
July 10 · JoshuaThe best ramen in Minneapolis, i am willing to fight on that fact, whenever friends tell me they haven't had good ramen before i take them here and only 1 person hasn't loved it so far, Leo is really picky tho. The rest do in fact love it.
April 27 · Alexander RivasFood was great. I had the Karaage and I really loved it. Loved the sauce they provided with it too. The Japanese style fried chicken was both great with an without the sauce. I also really liked the atmosphere of the place. The people were also nice enough to bring water to you which is nice. The place is also really convenient for both biking and taking transit as it is a block away from the Blaisdell Avenue protected bike lanes and the 1st Avenue bike lanes. It is also right along the Route 18 bus and just a 10 minute walk to the Route 23 and Route 21 bus and an 8 minute walk to the Route 11 bus which makes it really convenient to get to on Transit as well
May 19 · Louis JohnsonWhat a delicious place! The best part? I loved that there were a couple ways to order. You can order at the front or at the table by scanning the QR code. We ordered a salmon onigiri, pot stickers and a couple other dishes. We absolutely loved everything! Our dishes came out fast and were nice and hot. Service was kind. The worst part? Nothing much to add. Parking is street parking and we found a spot pretty easy on a Sunday afternoon. Almost all of the tables were out of napkins but they were quick to restock that. Overall, we are coming back and love that it’s right next to a spot where we can get treats too.
June 23 · Lizsandra EdwardsDelicious! Hot! Many choices available and was able to accommodate special request on food order. Staff was attentive. Place was jammin! Will recommend and revisit!
