Rice & Nori Reviews
I’m extremely disappointed with this location of Rice and Nori. I’ve always loved the food at the Pasadena branch—it’s my favorite. I was happy to find this spot on my commute home and tried it a few times for takeout, especially since they offer 15 minutes of free parking. But after today, I won’t be coming back. They no longer answer phone calls, so I had to use Postmates. It took them so long to prepare the order. When I finally got my food, the rice in the rolls was undercooked—hard, raw, and inedible. It was honestly one of the worst sushi experiences I’ve had. This location has gone downhill fast. The quality is nowhere near what it used to be. I’m very disappointed and will only go to the Pasadena location from now on.
May 09 · KimKim KatWow this place was just on point ! Great place for a quick bite or snack . Onigiris are freshly made and decently priced . Love that they put enough of the meat inside and it’s not just rice . The flavor is great . First time they make a good eggplant miso and mushroom onigiri . Usually they don’t have enough flavor or enough mushroom but this spot has it down . Must try if you are in littleTokyo ! They also don’t use any peanuts - good about allergies !
December 23 · Nikki AEver been curious about onigiri? Then come hereWorkers worked at a fast pace to get you your food in a timely mannerRice was flavored nicely and, came out warm like a nice hug on a cold day.I got the salted salmon my fiance got the beef we both loved them and am looking forward to future visits to try new flavors.
May 28 · Stephanie BradfordGood and delicious spam masubi but the service was not very well. I walked into the store to buy a spam masubi and then decided to use the restroom. While waiting, one of the cashiers told me that only customers that bought soemthing from the store can use the restroom and I told him that I did buy soemthing and that’s why I’m waiting in line. Moments after he came back AGAIN and asked me what I had ordered. Seriously!?! Not once but asking twice if I purchased something from the store to use the restroom. In the entire bathroom line he asked no one but I was the only one being asked. It was very rude for questioning me about purchasing something especially twice.
January 19 · Pyro Lyonunassuming place with such delicious food. the rice is so tasty and fresh, the seaweed has good flavor and is thin/easy to bite, and there is plenty of veg, meat, and fish. it's not just rice like most onigiri and hand roll spots
