- Flexible Dining Options: The strong focus on takeout and delivery, coupled with an inviting dine-in atmosphere, provides maximum convenience for busy Californians.
While specific, consistently advertised promotions may vary, RnR Sushi & Bowls often leverages its presence on popular food delivery platforms, where deals can frequently be found. For instance, such platforms may offer discounts on first-time orders or specific "buy one get one free" deals on certain rolls, though these are platform-specific and can change.
For local patrons, it's always a good idea to:
- Check Delivery Apps: Regularly look for promotions on Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub, as restaurants often run exclusive deals through these services.
- Visit their Official Website: While not always explicitly listing ongoing promotions, the website may feature specials or highlight popular items that offer great value.
- Inquire Directly: When calling in for a takeout order or dining in, it never hurts to ask if there are any current specials or lunch deals available.
Given the general feedback on "reasonably priced" and "very filling" food, RnR Sushi & Bowls already offers good inherent value, which can be seen as an ongoing "promotion" for budget-conscious diners seeking substantial portions without compromising on flavor.

RnR Sushi & Bowls Reviews
Evidently this is my daughter’s favorite sushi spot and I can’t believe that it was my first time there. Truly delicious food! The Alameda Roll has all of my favorites—salmon, tuna and unagi, plus snow crab! I asked for it spicy and they totally hit the spice mark. Very filling and very reasonably priced. RnR is a neighborhood gem and I’m very surprised that I hadn’t bothered to eat there before. It appears as a hole in the wall restaurant however, it totally delivers. Efficient service, happy staff, really good vibes. A true neighborhood keeper.Cheers!
Feb 26, 2025 · Ana BerteroI really like the food at this place. The sushi is yummy (if you like lots of sauce and Americanized sushi, which I do.) However, the rolls can be pretty expensive, and sometimes too large/ full of rice for my liking. Also the restaurants interior is a little out dated and uninviting. Street parking on Piedmont can be a challenge, but there’s a paid lot nearby.
May 15, 2025 · Sarah ParsonsImpressed! This place is an all around good choice. Delicious sushi that is clearly fresh and made with care. If you like spicy food, try the volcano roll. It’s a stuffed jalapeño 👏🏽👏🏽. The miso soup was so good it is noteworthy. The place is comfortable and the outdoor area is cute. Extra points for being dog friendly. Most definitely will come back.
Sep 24, 2022 · Wendy Martinez-MarroquinAlways delicious. Served with a smile. Their prices have gone way up. 19 for a sushi roll is high but the rolls are to die for. Perfect service. Clean restaurant. Definitely try this place. Watch out for the hours! Closed mid day.
Apr 29, 2025 · Cee RoseRnR Sushi & Bowls is a nice Japanese restaurant to visit if you're in the Oakland area. The fish was fresh, the service was friendly, and prices are reasonable. The sushi was attractively presented and there were a large variety of rolls to choose from ranging from rolls you'd find at most sushi restaurants (such as Cherry Blossom) to rolls unique to the restaurant. You'll find all the usual fish you'd see at most restaurants such as tuna, salmon, and hamachi - if you're looking for something like escolar, scallops, or amaebi, I don't think it's on the menu. Push comes to shove, you could always ask, you never know. As for the cooked food, the tempura is pretty good. It's lightly, crispy, and I like how the batter is not thick. The restaurant is fairly narrow, so you may find yourself sitting quite close to another table. There is also outdoor seating on a back patio if you don't feel comfortable dining indoors. As for the service, it's friendly, although not super fast. They do give every table a carafe of water, so you won't need to hassle anyone for refills often. Overall, it's a decent restaurant to stop by if in the area.
