ROKC Reviews
Worth the trip and frankly the only cocktail bar of its caliber in the neighborhood. Offering a nice selection of creative Japanese influenced cocktails and traditional eats (pork buns, ramen, oysters and more). Exceptional service, fantastic craft cocktails and great food. Cocktails are made with care and attention to every detail (be prepared to appreciate the drink for its taste but also visual appeal). Drinks are $17 and up but you’ll get quality. Space is limited so expect a wait during dinner time. Otherwise, enjoy the bar (my preferred choice of seating) and watch the master bartenders do their thing with passion. Must visit.

The best ramen I have had ever! Here's the breakdown:Drinks: cocktail menu is expansive and exciting! Tho I only had 1 drink, I was beyond happy with my Smokey Pina Colada! It came to the table as a clear drink, I was prepared to be disappointed.. Just the opposite.. Perfect combination of smooth, smokey, and sweet. A mezcal cocktail made to perfection!Appetizers: Everything 10/10Oysters: Divine! I claim to not like oysters but my friend wanted them so I tried one.. I am now a converted oyster lover! Best oysters I have ever had, like ocean to table goodness. I will be back for their daily oyster happy hour 5-7!Deviled egg + egg +egg: I love a good deviled egg, but talk about taking it up a notch.. Sea urchin, salmon caviar, wasabi.. Deliciousness with a kick at the end.. Wow + wow + wow!(Can you tell I was excited to keep ordering?)Scallop ceviche: presentation 10/10 almost as good as it tasted!Ramen: I had the Kyoto.. The broth was heavenly.. Warmed my insides and made my soul happy! The consistency of the noodles, a touch Al dente, tasted like the were house made, just amazing! The customer service was great.Ambiance: cozy, warmly lit, good vibes, great subtle low music in the background.. Mar 26, 2025 · Nesia RichThe name says it all - ramen, oysters, kitchen, cocktail - everything prepared exquisitely. I've frequented ROKC more than any other restaurant in NYC and have never been disappointed. It will be sorely missed.
May 24, 2025 · paul pKorea has no shortage of amazing, high-quality Japanese ramen spots. But this was my first bowl of legit ramen in New York—and it did not disappoint. It had that deep, creamy tonkotsu-style broth I love, with perfectly chewy noodles. And the vibe? So American in the best way—bold, casual, full of energy.A delicious fusion of cultures, and definitely worth slurping.
May 12, 2025 · SJ LeeWe had an exceptional dining experience at ROKC. This is our second time here and it did not disappoint. Our group of six was impressed by the outstanding cocktails, including the Botanical Garden, Scotch Lover's Penicillin, Parmigiano & Truffle, and Japanese Old Fashioned. The appetizers were equally impressive, with standouts like the Scallop Ceviche, pork bun, Karaage Fried Chicken, and Deviled Egg. However, the Chicken Bun stole the show. For the main course, the Yokosuka Curry (Soupless) surprisingly took center stage, accompanied by Sapporo and Kyoto. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. Be prepared for a 30-45 minute wait, but it's worth it. No reservations are available, so put your name down and grab a drink at the nearby bar. Highly recommended!
