Sakura Reviews
I always go at lunchtime. It is cheaper and crowds are much smaller. The lunch portions are still large but a little smaller than dinner portions. You do get soup and salad with your meal. Fried rice is $2 extra. You also get vegetables (zucchini, onions, and broccoli). They have lunch specials (price is @$15). The egg yolk sauce is good with the meal. The chef was very nice and entertaining. The only thing is if ordering shrimp, it is a little overcooked. If ordering steak ask for it 2 temperatures lower than you like it. It is usually well done. The fried rice is very good. They do have a full bar. There is a 18% gratuity added to all bills. The hostess was very polite and the server attentive.
Dec 19, 2024 · Amy RawlinsMy friends and I visited on a Saturday evening around 5pm with a reservation. The staff was incredibly friendly in sitting us and taking our order. Our chef wasn’t the most outgoing or entertaining, but did a great job at treating us well and creating a nice atmosphere. The food was decent and not the best hibachi I’ve ever had. The yum yum sauce seemed a little off and the chicken was incredibly salty. However, the fried rice, shrimp, and vegetables were phenomenal! It was a little shocking that you had to pay extra for fried rice or noodles, but feel as though opting for the up charge is worth it.
Apr 26, 2024 · Bri RidenourI have never left a review before, but this was probably the worst hibachi experience I've ever had. As soon as we entered, we were taken to our seats. There weren't very many cars in the parking lot, either. Keep in mind, this was around 6:00 PM on a Saturday—prime dinner rush. We realized we had ended up at the wrong place but still decided to give it a chance. There were very few people inside. We received our drinks and the menu, which was very odd with not a lot of options. We had read the reviews, and they weren't very good, but we were still willing to try it. The salad and their yum yum sauce were very off; it wasn't good at all. The soup was okay. Rice automatically comes with the meal, but we decided to swap some of ours for noodles and remove the vegetables. I ended up just swapping the rice for noodles. The noodles were awful, and the "roots" (I assume the vegetable sprouts?) were also awful. The only thing okay on the plate was the vegetables. The chicken was very dry, but that wasn't the fault of our cook. All of us were already displeased and just waited for the bill. When we finally received our checks, there was an additional charge of $5.00 for saying no to the vegetables or swapping out noodles. I mean, literally swapping out rice for practically terrible ramen noodles? This would have been fine if it had been mentioned on the menu. Not to mention the automatic 15-20% gratuity (which I get but nearly 20% for additional charges is insane to me). The person making the hibachi was okay. Unfortunately, the lady who seated us was somewhat pushy and rude towards the end. We kept fairly quiet about it until we got our bills. The lady who seated us argued about the additional charges when we asked. Overall, it was just not a good experience. Save your time and money.
May 18, 2025 · Britin LewisI love habachi and this place was great! We were there for dinner on a Thursday night and it was pretty quiet. I got the Habachi steak and shrimp with fried rice. It was all really good, but a bit pricey. Definitely recommend!
Apr 02, 2025 · Lilly BakerService and food was delicious. My salmon was cooked right. The portions were right for us. Now the reason for 3 stars: the bill. Not the amount, but the fact that they added an automatic 18% gratuity (party of 2) and then asked for another tip on the final bill. So if the service stunk, we’d still be charged the gratuity.
