Sapporo Teriyaki, located at 2560 152nd Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052, is a Japanese restaurant serving the local community. Operating within the "Doctor Near Me" platform category, it functions as a convenient local service provider offering prepared food for sale. For direct inquiries, Sapporo Teriyaki can be reached at (425) 881-1110 or via mobile at +1 425-881-1110.
Sapporo Teriyaki offers a casual and straightforward dining environment. Reviewers note that there is plenty of seating in the restaurant, making it suitable for both individual diners and groups. The presence of "news playing on the tele" suggests a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere, typical of a neighborhood eatery where customers might drop in for a quick and satisfying meal. The overall ambiance appears to be functional and geared towards providing a comfortable, informal setting for enjoying Japanese-inspired cuisine.
However, some recent feedback indicates a decline in the upkeep and cleanliness of the establishment. Concerns have been raised about the outdoor sign and lighting, as well as the cleanliness of the interior, including "the piling, and hoarding of supplies everywhere," and the condition of the restroom. This suggests that while there is ample seating, the overall presentation and maintenance of the dining space might be areas needing attention. Despite these observations, the core environment aims to provide a relaxed space for customers to dine.
The service at Sapporo Teriyaki is generally characterized by its efficiency and the politeness of the staff. One review specifically mentioned a "polite South American server" at the cashier, indicating a diverse staff. While the speed of service for getting food ready is not explicitly detailed, the focus on a lunch spot suggests a relatively quick turnaround for orders.
The restaurant provides options for both dine-in and takeout. The ability to easily pick up orders makes it a convenient choice for those looking for a fast meal on the go. While not explicitly mentioned, it is common for such establishments to also offer delivery through third-party services, further enhancing convenience for customers. The staff's polite demeanor, even if not universally praised for extensive knowledge of Japanese pronunciation, contributes to a generally acceptable service interaction.
Sapporo Teriyaki's primary feature is its generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. Customers frequently express satisfaction with the quantity of food provided, making it a good value proposition. The chicken katsu, in particular, is highlighted for being "cooked to perfection" with a "delightful crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside." This dish comes with options for salad or steamed vegetables, allowing for some customization based on customer preference.
However, the authenticity and flavor profile of the food, especially the teriyaki, receive mixed reviews. Some customers find the food taste and flavor to be "at an acceptable level at best," and specifically note that it "does not taste like authentic teriyaki." There are observations that the flavor might be "modified to taste more like South American food, and sauce," departing from traditional Japanese teriyaki. This suggests that while the restaurant serves Japanese-inspired dishes, the culinary approach might be adapted, which could be a point of contention for those seeking a very specific, traditional Japanese taste.
Despite varying opinions on authenticity, the dishes are presented well, indicating attention to the visual aspect of the meal. The menu likely includes various teriyaki dishes, such as chicken, beef, or salmon teriyaki, alongside other Japanese staples like katsu. The emphasis on large portions at affordable prices makes it an appealing option for customers prioritizing value and a filling meal.
As a key offering within the "Doctor Near Me" category, Sapporo Teriyaki leverages its reputation for large portions and reasonable prices as its main promotional draw. For many customers, finding a "new favorite lunch spot" that offers satisfying quantity at an accessible price point is a strong incentive for repeat business. The positive feedback on specific dishes like the chicken katsu further contributes to its appeal.
However, it is important for potential customers to be aware of the mixed reviews regarding the authenticity of the teriyaki flavor and the recent concerns about the cleanliness and upkeep of the establishment. While some customers find the food perfectly acceptable or even delightful, others with a specific craving for authentic Japanese teriyaki might find it deviates from their expectations.
The restaurant's convenient location at 2560 152nd Ave NE in Redmond makes it easily accessible to local residents and workers. Its operating hours would typically cater to lunch and dinner crowds, making it a practical choice for daily meals. For specific daily hours or any potential specials, customers are advised to contact Sapporo Teriyaki directly at (425) 881-1110 or +1 425-881-1110. The balance of generous portions and affordable prices remains a significant promotional point, even with varied feedback on flavor authenticity and cleanliness.

Sapporo Teriyaki Reviews
Great portion size!! I ordered the chicken katsu and was thrilled with the overall plate. They give you some options of the salad or steamed veggies and I opted for the usual style. The chicken was cooked to perfection! A delightful crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Plenty of seating in the restaurant with news playing on the tele. I found my new favorite lunch spot!
Jan 08, 2025 · Norm PeungReasonable prices. Large portions. Good presentation of food. But food taste, and flavor are at an acceptable level at best.Food does not taste like authentic teriyaki. The food taste like someone is copying the flavor, but does not really know how to cook this type of cuisine.Polite south american server different ethnicity not asian at the casheir .The flavor is more modified to taste more like south American food , and sauce. Not correct flavor.Especially if you are craving that specific authentic teriyaki flavor. You will not find it here. Would be considered gross & yucky by some, it's OK by some. I don't care by some. And acceptable by some. But it is noticeable the quality, and up keep of this place is going down rapidly.Start with the outdoor sign & outdoor lightThen the cleaning of this place from inside, then the piling, and hoarding of supplies everywhere, then the restroom

May 22, 2025 · ALISHA HEDGETasty marinated chicken teriyaki that was fire grilled and came with perfect steamed rice and a fresh iceberg salad. I recommend the sesame seed dressing for the salad and the gyoza.
Mar 03, 2025 · Joseph HermanceSpicy beef.....was drowned in what tasted like spicy ketchup sauce. The beef was not cooked to order and tuff and chewy. Nit worth 21 dollars.
