What is worth choosing?
Seafood Village is a fantastic choice for New Yorkers, particularly those in the Hudson Valley region, for a number of compelling reasons. The restaurant's long-standing presence is a testament to its quality and ability to build a loyal customer base. The owner and staff have created a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit a pleasant one, as noted by a customer who had a "lovely chat with the owner." This personal touch is a key part of the appeal, making it feel more like a community staple than just a place to eat.
The restaurant’s diverse menu is another strong selling point. While it’s called "Seafood Village," the offerings go beyond just fish to include comfort food, small plates, and vegetarian options. This variety ensures that every member of a group can find something they love, making it an excellent spot for family dinners or a meal out with friends. The fast service is also a highly valued feature, especially for those with busy schedules, ensuring that a quick bite is indeed quick without sacrificing quality.
However, it is important to address a recent customer review that raised concerns about the freshness of the fish. This is a critical point for any seafood restaurant, and while it is one isolated review, it is a piece of information for potential customers to consider. The restaurant’s long-standing positive reputation and other reviews, like the one praising the "UMAI" food and awesome atmosphere, suggest that this may have been an isolated incident.
Despite this, the overall value proposition remains strong. The ambiance is pleasant and the restaurant is designed for comfort, with full accessibility and high chairs for children. The ample free parking is a major bonus that can't be understated in New York. The combination of a welcoming environment, a wide-ranging menu, and convenient services makes Seafood Village a worthwhile choice for anyone in the Newburgh area looking for a reliable and enjoyable Japanese and seafood dining experience. It's a place that has built a solid foundation over many years, and its continued success is a testament to its overall quality.

Seafood Village Reviews
Visited the village with a lady friend just now. Had a lovely chat with the owner. 8 years in business and still going strong. Awesome atmosphere and a pleasing aesthetic. Please come and try their food, it is absolutely "UMAI"!
April 25 · MDDI ordered Ikura and two full of the pieces had pieces of it turning white. Fish is not fresh and is spoiling. Picture is of two of the balls I pulled off before realizing how much was spoiled and throwing it out.
February 26 · Kimberly AnneWe saw this place and always intended to come in and now regret not coming in sooner. The service was great and very polite. The place is clean and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. I love the live plants which gives a fresh homey feel.I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl with brown rice and a miso soup. Well, my daughter, who usually doesn't like miso soup, slurped it down quick. Yup, delicious! The chicken teriyaki rice bowl had flavor which was quite unique then other teriyaki bowls I've tasted and I loved that.Well, the hubby and I decided we shall come back soon to try the crab legs and I, for sure, want to come for more of the bubble tea. Have an awesome day!
June 24 · Nicole SmithHorrible food and even more terrible service! I ordered three kani salads and let me just say they were hella cheap with their portion sizes. I was so disappointed! When I called to let him know he did nothing but laugh and said it’s not his problem. Please don’t waste your time ordering from here or going there because you’ll just be disappointed. I paid $8 for this???🤦🏽♀️
