Shinju Sushi Reviews
Welcome to your next dose of micro plastics. The atmosphere leaves you feeling absolutely part of the rubbish. Dine in experience crashed by cutting corners and saving time.Cheap careless vibe.Table had 3 separate order pages. 3people total — wait staff never checked in after orders placed — everyone got their appetizers. Hubs and my food slid onto the table. Could clearly identify our two orders between 3 plates.{multiple people on one plate no warning. Eeehh} our third person never got their entree food. I was to happy in my food to notice, if we had been checked on it might have been solved.Since there’s a different charge for take out my friend basically gave up on having dinner here. The fish and food itself:Didn’t taste fishy, the rice was the least favorite part. Everything was very Middle. Fish was sorta chilled, soup kinda hot.Things swim in sauce. They do allow modifications!! And I’d stop for another boba. Then . . . They tried to shove the blame “3 plates, 3 people” 👀 hubs and I had 20 nigiri and 4 rolls between the two of us. Clearly 3 plates worth of food none of it was what friend ordered.
May 16, 2025 · Katherine “KT” BoicourtOrdered carryout from here. I got the sushi platter to share. The food tasted great. I think everything was pretty good quality. I was disappointed that the items in my sushi platter were quite a bit smaller than I expected. They looked bigger in the menu picture, but maybe the mistake was mine. Regardless, the food was ready on time and the prices are pretty reasonable. This is the best sushi I've had so far in the Hyde Park area, so I will probably come back in the future.

Apr 22, 2025 · Dr DanteFound on Google and we just happened to be in that neighborhood. The pictures of food looked really good so decided to try it out. We are from Indianapolis on our last day in Chicago. We ordered the Vietnamese Spring Rolls with peanut sauce (delicious) I ordered the Tom Yum soup and the Orange chicken, my boyfriend ordered the crispy Fish. The flavors were phenomenal and the presentation was beautiful. My only complaint is that we do not have this restaurant in Indianapolis so I can eat there on a regular basis 😢
May 12, 2024 · Ernie GomezI think if you’re on a budget it’s not terrible. It’s near a college so the pricing seems friendly to students. Food was alright. Be warned that if you’re getting all you can eat they will stuff your rolls with an obscene amount of rice and they have a stipulation where you cannot leave any rice for the all you can eat or you’ll be charged normal prices for everything. The service is extremely slow it might as well just be counter service it would be more convenient to order that way. Food trickles out a snails pace as well.
