This establishment prides itself on its commitment to traditional preparation methods, particularly their signature 24-hour pork bone broth, promising a depth of flavor that many ramen enthusiasts seek.
At its core, Sobo Ramen is about the art of the broth. Their acclaimed Tonkotsu soup is the result of a meticulous 24-hour simmering process, incorporating pork bones, garlic, onion, ginger, and other special ingredients to create a rich, creamy, and flavorful base. Beyond the broth, Sobo Ramen also emphasizes fresh, house-made noodles and carefully selected toppings, each designed to complement the savory liquid.
The menu at Sobo Ramen extends beyond just Tonkotsu, offering a variety of ramen styles to cater to different preferences, including spicy options, chicken-based broths, and even a dedicated vegan ramen. Sobo Ramen Reviews
The ramen we ordered was nice, it's not salty and you can definitely enjoy the hot soup.Karaage was good. We ordered hot house sake too.The servers was very nice.
Aug 24, 2024 · Desiree CerdeñaNot sure if I came at a bad time but this place was extremely underwhelming. I ordered the black garlic mayu ramen and it came out lukewarm. The broth/chashu had no depth or flavor. Also ordered the chicken gyoza which had what seemed to be like chili garlic bits on top which tasted far too burnt to enjoy. Definitely not worth checking this place out with so many other options for ramen in the area. Kudos to the server though. She was the only one on during the lunch rush and was holding it down pretty well.
Nov 15, 2024 · Joe SeoHate to leave a review like this but in a town that’s bursting at the seams with solid ramen options, this was just not good. I chose this based on location and the solid google reviews, but the ramen was just not edible, almost none of us finished our meals, nor the vinegary beer that was just not drinkable. No comment or “how is everything” from the waiter. Sorry but skip this one.
May 18, 2025 · AdamThe food here was damn good! We wanted ramen for our last night on our business trip. We decided to try this place despite the 3.5 rating on Yelp. The place was pretty empty at 530pm. Servers were prompt and polite, answering questions and giving recommendations when asked. We ordered steamed gyoza and three ramen dishes. I ordered the country ramen, amazing flavor and mild spice. My coworkers ordered the Tonkotsu with Tonkatsu and Sobo ramen with chicken and spicy - way too spicy for my liking but my coworker loved it. I'd love to come again on my next trip!
Feb 22, 2019 · Thomas BucklandMy family and I love this place. We eat here at least once a month, perhaps more during cold season. The broth is very good particularly the spicy black tonkotsu. Meat is just right and the whole bowl is simple, just how ramen should be. A simple comfort food.My wife and I have been in many ramen places around the Bay Area that are ranked or rated high on several sites and even from TV food shows and I can honestly say that Sobo Ramen is among the best we have tasted.I just wish there are more options for appetizers but we love it here! We are regulars here by now and we are welcomed here like family each time we eat at Sobo Ramen. It is SOBOlicious!!!
