As an airport establishment, Sora Japanese Cuisine & Sushi Bar generally caters to a transient customer base, and therefore, specific, ongoing public promotions or loyalty programs may not be as prevalent as in traditional street-side restaurants. Airport dining often operates under different pricing structures due to higher operational costs, including rent and logistical challenges.
However, it's always worth checking for any short-term specials or seasonal menu additions when you visit. Sometimes, airport restaurants might have partnerships with airline loyalty programs or offer limited-time deals. The best way to inquire about any current promotions would be to ask the staff directly upon your arrival or check for any posted signs within the restaurant. While a spicy tuna roll might be $15.50, the convenience and quality in an airport setting often justify the price for many travelers.

Sora Japanese Cuisine & Sushi Bar Reviews
This place is solid! The food has always been great and the service is very good. Most of the negativity in these reviews is derived by a group of people who are in an airport in a rush and didn't plan well and then take it out on the staff. Don't fall for their bogus attitudes! Look at these pictures, how can you not love this food?!?
Mar 27, 2025 · t wAirport quality sushi, good, spicy tuna was spicy but not something worth $15.50.Food was good though. Tad slow on service so only stop if you have a good 30-45min to spare so you don’t feel rushed if catching a flight.
May 12, 2025 · Esperanza ViteIt’s acceptable for airport food. I needed some soup desperately and I was hesitant to try this restaurant as all the reviews about soup (ramen or udon) were consistently bad. I decided to risk myself and ordered spicy ramen with beef. It surprised me in a pleasant way! The service was not necessarily fast or good but I would not mind going there again when I transfer in Detroit.
Feb 26, 2025 · Eunjee KI've walked by this restaurant numerous times passing through the Detroit airport and finally decided to give it a try. The service was lacking, and it took a good 30 minutes to get my rainbow roll from the sushi chef. Once I did get my food, it was incredibly mediocre. Frankly, I've had better sushi from Kroger for 2/3 the price.
Jan 16, 2025 · Taylor ThrelkeldI paid $25.97 for the chicken katsu don and it looked like someone played in my food. It didn’t look appetizing at all and I either want my food refunded or remade. This is ridiculous especially for the price I paid!
