SUKO Japanese Cuisine Reviews
This review is overdue and five stars are well deserved as we had a fantastic experience dining here for a late lunch. Everything was wonderful from service to food to atmosphere. Everyone went out of their way to take time and chat with us and be pleasant. We even were able to meet with the owners who are fantastic people. The chef/owner was very engaging and did a wonderful job preparing our food right in front of our eyes. Often times we find that we are not able to get Uni, but we were able to select from three different varieties and we were not disappointed. In fact it was amazing! They use a dry aging process for their fish, which we were not familiar with, but we found that it truly did make a difference in both flavor and texture. If you are in the San Antonio area, this place is not to be missed. It truly deserves five stars.
Mar 15, 2025 路 Amanda MThis is a great Japanese restaurant. It has a focused menu that offers quality items.I had a hard time making a selection and opted to get the cucumber salad and 1604 roll. You can make some jokes about a roll called 1604 however unlike the loop we are so familiar with, this roll is a delight. It has a bit of spice for some added heat while not being overwhelmed.I enjoyed everything I had and will definitely be back to try their tiger shrimp katsu don and purple fries. 馃いOur server and other wait staff were genuinely a pleasure to talk to and were attentive such that they appeared at the right time.Recommend reservations on the weekend but during the week you can just walk in.

We鈥檙e definitely coming back for the omakase experience. And we must come back for the dry aged sashimi. Service was excellent. Loved the vibe too. Easily our new favorite restaurant.
