Suram - Sushi & Ramen (Upper West Side) Reviews
Food is good but overpriced. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I really liked the salmon carpaccio. It melted in my mouth and the citrus with the truffle oil was a good combination. There is a single bathroom that was kept clean so that’s good. And the food came out quick. The sesame cheese cake sounded good and different, it was pretty dense and it wasn’t amazing but still good. They drizzled maraschino cherry juice over it which doesn’t really go with black sesame. I made a reservation through google but apparently that doesn’t do anything, I told the waiter and he said they don’t take reservations. It wasn’t too bust at 6:00 on a Friday night. It is a small place with about 10 tables.Downsides were the prices and the floor was very very slippery coming in. It was raining outside so it was soaking wet and I almost slipped and fell multiple times. Someone should mop the floor when it rains.
May 24, 2025 · MarisaFriendly staff, nice and nice represented dishes, and fish on the wall at a Japanese restaurant !! The yam roll is really impressive with tempura texture but in a roll. The bowl is also nice. You can get salad or miso soup. The dressing for salad is great, and the veggies are crunchy!!
Apr 09, 2025 · Bill HuangEverything about this place exceeded my expectations, the server was SO polite and even brought us a free AMAZING appetizer! Sushi was super quality and the sushi rice was soo good - and I’m super picky about that!! Very grateful and will definitely return!
Mar 12, 2025 · Paisley Ana BaileyA hidden gem on the Upper West Side! The tiradito and the six were the highlight of our dinner. Atmosphere was cozy and service was great. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Dec 28, 2024 · Darren BudiyantoWe've been meaning to try this place for two years, and of course we finally do just as we're about to move out. If we were staying, this would've been a new weekly place for us. So, so delicious—we went twice in three days. Best were probably the tuna crispy rice and the omakase. Spicy crab avocado crunch was so good that I ordered it both times. Tempura shrimp was even better. Service is great, if the teensiest bit slow when they get busy, because it's such a small place. Absolutely worth a bit of a wait. Definitely recommend.
