Sushi Kai Omakase - Fort Lee

206 Main St, Fort Lee, NJ 07024, USA

4.0
Food and service were exceptional. Servers were very attentive to our needs. Sushi chefs were fantastic - took the time to explain each course and educated us on where the fish came from.If you're looking for flashy, eccentric food, this isn't the place for you. What you're paying for is high quality fish. The chefs do very little to it, allowing the fish to speak for itself.Having said that, while each course was great, I did find myself a little hungry at the end of the meal. Could have done with another small course or two.Regardless, the food was fantastic, and if you want to try something different for a date night or special event, this is a great place to try. - Matt De Marco

Promotions or Special Offers

Sushi Kai Omakase - Fort Lee primarily focuses on delivering an exclusive, high-quality omakase dining experience rather than offering frequent, publicly advertised promotional discounts. The "special offer" here is inherently the value derived from the exceptional quality of the fish and the skilled culinary artistry at its various price points. However, the structured menu offerings themselves provide different levels of experience:

  • Tiered Omakase Courses:
    • Standard Omakase Course ($155 per guest): This is their core offering, providing a comprehensive multi-course tasting menu that highlights seasonal ingredients.
    • While not explicitly listed with different price points in the most recent public information for their Fort Lee location, some omakase restaurants or past mentions might have offered variations (e.g., $120, $200 courses) that could be dependent on the day or specific premium ingredients available. It's best to confirm the current tiers directly with the restaurant.
  • Takeout Omakase Options: For those who wish to enjoy Sushi Kai's quality at home, they offer specific takeout omakase and donburi (rice bowl) options which provide a different price point and experience. These include:
    • Kais Omakase for takeout ($85): A curated selection of appetizers, sushi pieces, a cut roll, and soup.
    • Various Donburi options (e.g., Salmon Ikura Don, Tuna Special Don, Chirashi Don, Sea Eel Don, Wagyu Uni Don) at prices ranging from $45 to $65.
    • A la carte nigiri for individual piece ordering.

As an omakase-style restaurant with limited seating, their focus is on consistent premium quality and an intimate experience rather than volume-driven promotions. For any specific, limited-time offerings or seasonal specials not covered by their standard menu, it is highly recommended for New Jersey diners to:

  • Visit their official website (if available, they have a dedicated site for Fort Lee).
  • Check their social media channels for announcements.
  • Call the restaurant directly to inquire about any current exclusive offerings.

The inherent value of fresh fish flown daily from Japan and prepared by expert chefs is the constant "special offer" at Sushi Kai Omakase.
