The Sushi Heroes Introduce
In the bustling culinary landscape of San Jose, California, a unique Japanese dining experience awaits at **The Sushi Heroes**. Located at 1901 Las Plumas Ave STE 30, San Jose, CA 95133, this establishment has carved out a niche for itself by offering not just sushi, but a heroic adventure for your taste buds. While The Sushi Heroes operates primarily as a ghost kitchen, specializing in pick-up and delivery, it has garnered a loyal following for its distinctive approach to traditional Japanese cuisine, blended with a playful superhero theme.
For those searching on a platform like "Doctor Near Me" for a local service, The Sushi Heroes provides a different kind of remedy – a cure for your sushi cravings. Think of it as a specialized service, offering high-quality, generously portioned sushi and Japanese appetizers readily available for your convenience. Just as you'd seek out a doctor for a specific need, The Sushi Heroes fulfills the desire for delicious and satisfying sushi, delivering a culinary experience that aims to leave you feeling indulged and content.
The Sushi Heroes operates out of a **ghost kitchen** concept, meaning it's primarily designed for takeout and delivery rather than a traditional dine-in restaurant experience. This allows them to focus on efficient preparation and delivery of their sushi. Their location at 1901 Las Plumas Ave STE 30 is situated within a **warehouse plaza**, which might initially seem a bit unconventional for a restaurant. Customers are advised to follow their GPS diligently and look for clear signage to avoid confusion, as there might be other businesses, such as a machine business, located nearby. Despite the industrial surroundings, The Sushi Heroes has set up **benches directly in front of their location** where customers can choose to eat their orders immediately after pick-up. While this offers a quick and convenient spot to enjoy your meal, it's worth noting that depending on the time of day, direct sunlight might be a factor.
The concept of The Sushi Heroes is deeply intertwined with its name: **superheroes**. This theme is not just a marketing gimmick; it's integrated into the very fabric of their menu. Their wide variety of rolls are playfully named after **Marvel and DC superheroes**, creating a fun and engaging ordering experience. This unique naming convention adds an element of discovery to each visit, inviting customers to explore different "heroic" rolls.
The core service offered by The Sushi Heroes is **high-quality, fresh sushi** available for pick-up and delivery. They cater to a wide range of needs, from single rolls for individual indulgence to expansive platters designed to feed multiple people. Their platters are particularly popular and are highlighted as an excellent option for **potlucks with friends and coworkers**, offering a convenient and impressive spread of sushi.
A key feature that sets The Sushi Heroes apart is the **generous size of their rolls**. Customers consistently rave about the substantial portions, indicating that while the price point for some orders might seem high, the value for the money is exceptional due to the sheer size and quality of the sushi. This emphasis on large, satisfying rolls ensures that customers feel they are getting excellent value.
The menu is thoughtfully organized into categories such as **Fusion Rolls, Avenger Rolls, and Side Kick Rolls**. This categorization not only aligns with their superhero theme but also helps customers navigate the extensive selection. However, a crucial piece of information for online ordering is to **review their menu first to see the ingredients of each roll**. While the app provides the heroic nicknames, it may not always detail the specific components of each roll, making a prior look at their full menu advisable to ensure you get exactly what you desire.
The pricing at The Sushi Heroes reflects the quality and generous portions. For those interested in platters, which are ideal for sharing, the price will vary depending on the category and number of rolls selected. Customers have noted that a platter containing **5 rolls typically ranges from roughly $40-$80**, while a larger platter with **9 rolls can be priced between $125-$140**. These prices, while seemingly significant, are often justified by the size and freshness of the sushi, making them a worthwhile investment for a group setting or a substantial meal.
While specific ongoing promotions are not explicitly detailed in general information, the inherent value proposition of their large rolls acts as a constant draw for customers. The ability to cater to various group sizes with their diverse platters also serves as a form of promotion, encouraging larger orders for gatherings and events. Their ghost kitchen model inherently promotes convenience, allowing customers to easily order and pick up their sushi without the wait associated with traditional sit-down restaurants.
Customer reviews offer valuable insights into the experience at The Sushi Heroes. Many customers express a deep fondness for the establishment, with some considering it their **"go-to sushi place"** when in San Jose. The freshness of the sushi is consistently praised, affirming the quality of their ingredients and preparation. The creativity of their superhero-themed rolls is also a significant highlight, adding a unique and memorable aspect to the dining experience.
However, like any business, there are areas where customer experiences can vary. One review highlighted an instance where ordered rolls were either **missing ingredients or were completely different from what was requested**. This led to disappointment, emphasizing the importance of accuracy in order fulfillment, especially for a ghost kitchen model where customers cannot immediately verify their order in person. This feedback underscores the need for meticulous attention to detail in their preparation process to ensure consistent customer satisfaction.
Overall, The Sushi Heroes presents itself as a dynamic and innovative Japanese restaurant in San Jose. By combining the convenience of a ghost kitchen with generously sized, creatively named sushi rolls and platters, they offer a compelling option for local residents seeking a delicious and satisfying sushi experience. Their dedication to fresh ingredients and a unique theme makes them a notable presence in the San Jose culinary scene, appealing to both individual sushi lovers and those looking to cater larger gatherings. If you're in the San Jose area and craving sushi with a heroic twist, The Sushi Heroes is certainly worth exploring.

The Sushi Heroes Reviews
I LOVED this place back when I lived in San Jose. It was my go to sushi place. I was finally back in the area and thought I would stop by being that I missed it so much. The new location and set up is a little different however I was still excited. I spent a little over $80 on four rolls and two appetizers (which might sound like a lot but the rolls are huge and it’s a great price for what you get) however my low rating comes from the fact that a few of my rolls were either missing ingredients or were completely different than what was ordered. This left me disappointed and feeling like my money went down the drain as my family and I did not fully enjoy our meal.
Apr 28, 2025 · Tatiana KSushi Heroes is my go to spot to fix my sushi needs when I want to indulge and not feel unsatisfied. They are a ghost kitchen that serves single rolls to platters and as you can see here I usually get the platter to feed multiple people at once. This is a good tray to bring to a potluck with friends & coworkers. The sushi is always fresh and they got a wide variety of rolls named all superhero’s from marvel and dc. If you want there’s benches in front you can just order, pick-up, and eat right in front. However depending on the time of day you may get some sun in your face. This location is in a warehouse plaza that has what looks to be some sort of machine business next door so it may confuse you so follow the gps and look for the signs. They separate the type of rolls into categories like fusion rolls, avenger rolls, side kick rolls, etc. So when ordering a platter the price will vary. Roughly 40-80 for 5 rolls & 125-140 for 9 rolls. My only issue with this is because majority of rolls have nicknames to them, when ordering in the app it doesn’t really tell you what’s inside the roll, only the name. So it’s wise look at their menu first to see the ingredients if you order online.
Oct 17, 2023 · Rocky QuatI ordered a catering order for 10 people for my business and I am beyond ecstatic that I found Sushi Heroes. Their food is amazing and everything was fresh and tasty! Will 100% order again in the future.
Dec 30, 2023 · Aaron LeeI ordered a large platter for a small dinner. For 4 adults and 1 child we had more than enough for everyone to take some home. The presentation, freshness, and price are unbelievable! This will be our regular takeout spot going forward!
Apr 25, 2024 · Ashley LimThe sushis here are great! I am not a fan of raw protein sushi, but I loved the spicy California roll and shrimp tempura roll. The names for the sushi rolls are really catchy. Definitely returning to this place to try other sushis. Definitely recommend. I had them delivered, so no idea on dine-in experience.
