Tobu aims to provide a convenient and fast-casual option for shoppers and locals looking for a quick bite of Asian-inspired cuisine. Described as blending "Japanese and Chinese cuisines to create a culinary masterpiece," Tobu endeavors to offer an innovative style and a unique alternative in the quick-service restaurant experience.
Operating within a food court environment, Tobu focuses on efficiency and accessibility, catering to those who need a swift meal without a lengthy sit-down dining experience. The restaurant is part of a larger brand, Food Systems Unlimited, Inc., which emphasizes "always cooked fresh" philosophy, aiming to provide high-quality Japanese fare, including sushi, served with quick service value. They strive to maintain a "clean, eye-catching store appearance and equally impressive food quality," aiming to be a food court favorite.
While some customer experiences can be mixed, particularly concerning portion sizes and communication in a fast-paced environment, the core concept remains. Tobu is designed for speed and convenience, offering a range of familiar Asian dishes that are ready for quick consumption, making it a functional choice for a meal during a shopping trip. They offer a variety of classic items that cater to common food court preferences, allowing shoppers to grab a quick lunch or dinner.

**"Always Cooked Fresh" Philosophy:** The brand states a commitment to preparing dishes fresh, which is a significant factor in a fast-casual setting, aiming to deliver quality despite the speed.
Specific Dish Popularity: While overall reviews can be mixed, individual items like their Chicken Egg Rolls have received positive mentions for their taste.
Accessibility within a Major Shopping Hub: Being in a prominent mall like Town Center at Boca Raton means it benefits from high foot traffic and is a known option for quick meals in a busy commercial area.
As a food court establishment, Tobu's promotions often revolve around combo deals and value pricing. While specific, ongoing promotions are not broadly advertised, customers might typically find:
Combo Meals: Their standard offering of 1 or 2 entree combos, potentially with side dishes included, serves as their primary value proposition, allowing customers to mix and match. For instance, a "2 Entree Combo" at other Tobu locations is listed at a set price.
Lunch Specials: Given its location in a busy shopping center, Tobu may offer specific lunch specials or slightly reduced pricing during midday hours, though this would need to be confirmed directly at the counter.
Beverage Deals: Sometimes, bundled deals on bottled drinks with meal purchases might be available.
It is always recommended for locals to check the signage at the Tobu counter directly for any immediate specials, as food court promotions can be dynamic and not always listed online.

Tobu Reviews
Poor quality. Overpriced, small portions. I saw $6 for low mein in the board and I ask for it, it ends up costing more than $15 and they had in it 2 more sides saying that’s how it’s come. The Bourbon Chicken that they give as simple is more tasty than the one they are serving. I got a dry and completely burnt chicken. Veggie was overcooked. But their Chicken Egg Rolls was delicious.Better deals elsewhere.
September 24 · Yana ViltonNobody speaks a word of English, or Spanish. They acted like they speak nothing. They just started dumping food into my to go plates. Stiff I didn't want. No clue that I'm telling them to stop. It's not in me to just walk away. My mother wanted bourbon chicken and lo mein, I did not want either, but I got bourbon chicken and lo mein. They just stare at me no matter what 5 languages I attempt. I managed to point at one of the items and the girl understood I wanted something else.Food was good in taste but the meat portions are tiny. You get one scoop and one scoop only. If they scoop higher than the rim of the spoon, they dump it out. My mother actually finished her food. Is it because of them being in this mall? Is it management pinching every penny? Not even 2$ worth of food per combo.
August 18 · Steakncheese VS EmeraldThey offered me a sample that I really enjoyed, and it was $13 per plate, which I thought was reasonable. However, the portion size was very small that you can see the bottom of the try, so I informed them before they completed the order that I didn't want it.
December 11 · Evan BaezThis place has declined so much over the years, if it was not for the staff like Cynthia that has been there for years I would not go back, they have progressively made the containers smaller and the portions smaller as well, I know the rent is expensive in the Town Center Mall but if you're not producing because you're overly charging for small portions, you're going to soon be going out of business. The food indeed is cooked delicous but sometimes the vegetables look like they're from the day before. The only consistent side with good portions in the Teryaky side. Hopefully management reads this and does something about it, because of their actions I see alot of people not having jobs because of it.
August 22 · Angel MachadoThe service was pretty good and the line moved quickly. The Teriyaki Chicken with white rice is good like always, but more expensive then the other malls.
