Tora Reviews
I'm from out of town and some co-workers and I visited for supper. It was absolutely fantastic, a wide variety of foods that pleased everyone (including those who didn't like sushi in general). I can't wait to go back to Columbus and visit again! Delicious and service was impeccable!!!I tried an Uni shot, and while I didn't like it (personal taste), it was well made and fresh, and I appreciated the opportunity to try Uni! The sushi was fantastic and mouth watering!
Mar 19, 2025 · Deb LeibelTora is great every time we go. In the dozen or so times we've gone, only once did we have an issue where an item was forgotten on the order, but the waiter brought the item out later on but took it off the bill because of the mistake. That is a perfect way to handle the situation so I won't hold it against them. The food is very fresh, there's tons of options, even stuff other sushi places don't have. Prices are also reasonable. It can get pricey if you get a lot of food, but you can have a good bite to eat for not that much money too. I didn't catch his name, but the waiter who look like Gavin from The SloMo Guys is great. Very attentive without being too much. Highly recommend this place.
Feb 08, 2025 · J KThis is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. It has the look and feel of a high end steakhouse, but without high end prices. The Sushi is always flavorful and fresh. They also have a pretty big Sushi menu, tons of selections. My wife and I plan on coming back soon!
Nov 18, 2024 · V Rockit was my first time there for lunchwiyh a friendz The food was good and met the expectation with price. The restaurant's setup is kind of a mix of fine dining. You couldn’t really tell that it’s a Japanese restaurant if you don't see the sushi bar. We were there quite a while talking and they just made us feel comfortable. I'd love to go back sometimes. Oh and I love their spicy fried chicken. So delicious.
Nov 29, 2024 · Lyda NginWent here on a Sunday around 6, we were asked if we had reservations, and we did not. We were told to wait 45 minutes, I think, to discourage us from staying. I'm not sure why, I would hate to think they only want white people in there as that is all that was in there. The place had 6 empty tables and stayed empty until after we left. They were not reserved from what I could tell. They sat us after 15 minutes as tables continued to be empty. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The Japanese woman who was walking around looked miserable. Then the food started to come.Ordered the Chino sampler. All the fried stuff was super well done. Everything was dry and rubbery.. The seafood pancake was burned. We ate it and did not complain. Then the meals came. Sushi rolls were good but not great. The steak was dry and tasteless, ordered medium well...it was super well done. We also ordered a fish which was so burned it could not be eaten. Tried to get the burned parts off, but it was impossible to eat. The waiter took it back, and we did not get anything else, as we were told it would take 45 minutes to get anything else. The correct thing would have been to expedite our order since they burned the food and had the audacity to serve it. Who goes to restaurants to eat burned food. I'm surprise the sushi wasn't burned.I would not recommend this restaurant, and I would not go back.
