Umami Restaurant is conveniently located at 6640 N Durango Dr #180, Las Vegas, NV 89149, USA. Situated on North Durango Drive, a prominent thoroughfare in Las Vegas, the restaurant is easily accessible for residents across a wide area of the city. Its location within a commercial plaza ensures that it is straightforward to find, even for first-time visitors.
While the restaurant can be quite busy, indicating its popularity, and the "parking lot is quite chaotic" at peak times, its presence in a plaza generally means there is parking available, albeit sometimes requiring a bit of patience. Despite potential waits during busy periods, the overall accessibility of being on a main road in a local shopping area makes it a convenient spot for spontaneous visits or planned dining experiences. For those looking to enjoy quality sushi without venturing too far from their daily routes in the northern and western parts of Las Vegas, Umami Restaurant's location is a significant advantage.

Nigiri and Sashimi: Beyond rolls, Umami also provides various nigiri options, which involve sliced fish over rice. Patrons often praise the quality of the fish for their nigiri, with one review mentioning "Hands down the best nigiri in town." While sashimi (sliced raw fish without rice) details aren't explicitly provided, it's a common offering in AYCE sushi restaurants.
Appetizers and Small Plates: To complement the sushi, Umami offers a selection of appetizers. Common options at sushi restaurants include Edamame, Gyoza (dumplings), and various Tempura dishes. These small plates are perfect for starting a meal or enjoying alongside sushi. Their menu includes items like Shrimp Tempura, Homemade Gyoza, Takoyaki, Chicken Karaage, and various types of Edamame.
Ramen and Rice Bowls: While primarily known for sushi, Umami also offers a selection of ramen dishes with various broths (pork, chicken, vegan options) and toppings. Rice bowls such as Pork Belly Bowl, Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, and different Fried Rice options are also available for those seeking a heartier meal beyond sushi.

They also offer convenient takeout services, allowing customers to order at the counter and pick up their food to enjoy at home. Online ordering is available for pickup and delivery through platforms like DoorDash and Grubhub.
Customizable Sauces: A thoughtful detail appreciated by customers is that "the sauces come on the side but are labeled so we know which goes together," allowing diners to adjust flavors to their preference.

Thoughtful Sauce Presentation: The practice of serving sauces on the side and clearly labeling them is a minor but highly appreciated detail. It allows diners to control the intensity of flavors and ensures they pair the correct sauce with each dish.
Efficient Operations (Despite Busyness): While the restaurant can be "quite busy," with people "consistently coming in and out," the staff manages to provide good service. This indicates an efficient system that handles high demand effectively, minimizing wait times for food.

Umami Restaurant (All You Can Eat Sushi) Reviews
Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - ordered 3 rolls of Dancing Eel, Sun of the Beach, and Don't Cry Amigo. While the rolls looked a bit small, it was quite filling. All of the tools were yummy and the ingredients tasted fresh. We really appreciate that the sauces come on the side but are labeled so we know which goes together. We really like the spicy mayo eel sauce that came with sun of the beach but didn't care for the garlic ponzu hot sauce that came with don't cry amigo.Service: 5/5 - ordered at the counter to go, and Jericho was super friendly and helped make a few recommendationsAmbiance: n/a - ordered food to go. Quite busy as we consistently saw people coming in And outValue for price: 5/5 - decent price at around $12 per roll but there can be quite a wait depending on the time you get there. Jan 21, 2025 · denise alfonsoWorth it to try all you can it Umami Las Vegas with $30/per person on weekend. Satisfied with the food and the server Saul and the receptionist Jericho. They introduced to me, the best one that I can try. Highly recommend it and will be back again.
Nov 02, 2024 · Ira WuIt’s as good as other places like Neko or Sakana. The only reason I can only give 4 stars instead of 5 is because any all-you-can-eat sushi cannot be the highest of all as in the sushi category.
Dec 28, 2024 · TomokoOfficialMy fam loves umami !! Last time we went the server went out of her way to relocate us to a bigger table after she noticed we were crammed into a booth ! I wish i got her name !! But a very appreciated gesture!! Little things like that are so huge ! Not to mention the music is always popping and the food is amazing !!! I wish they would make the place bigger so that the wait wasn't always long ! But thats a good thing because they're obviously a hit !!
