Waku Waku Ramen Quincy Reviews
I went to Waku Waku in Quincy on a rainy night, just looking for a quiet place to grab dinner by myself. It ended up being such a comforting and surprisingly lovely experience. The food was delicious, exactly what I needed on a cold, gloomy evening. But what really stood out was the service. Lauren, my waitress, was so kind and attentive. She made me feel completely at ease, even though I was dining alone. She checked in at just the right times, made great suggestions, and was genuinely friendly without being over the top. It’s not always easy going out to eat alone, but Lauren’s warmth and the cozy vibe of the restaurant made it feel like the perfect place to be that night. I’ll definitely be back.
Apr 08, 2025 · Hello Photo Booth RentalThis was a great first time here!Parking: only street parkingRestaurant: the Restaurant is clean, with "young vibe", good music that is not excessively loud and is well decorated creating a cohesive ambiance.Handicapped: although the restaurant does not have its own parking, inside both the eating area and bathrooms are roomy enough for a wheelchair.Bathrooms: are clean and equipped with everything they should have. No stalls, just 2 bathrooms that lock from inside.Service: it took only a few minutes from the time I walked in and TJ took my order for my food to be ready. At least 2 waiters checked in on me to see if I needed anything (without being pushy). In other words, AMAZING SERVICE.Food: I purposely left this for last. I will dare to say this is the best kimchi Ramen soup I've had in the continental US. Simply delicious!!! Perfect flavors and noodles.Totally recommend and will for sure come back soon!!!
Jan 09, 2025 · C EI’ve tried the Chinatown location before and thought it was meh, but I decided to give the Quincy location a chance.- Fried Truffle Beef Baos ($12): There was a BOGO free deal during lunchtime, so it came out to be $3/bao (which feels like it should be the usual price tbh). The taste was okay overall, but there were some issues with the texture. The beef was dry, and the inside of the bao was still doughy. The frying added a slight crunch on the outside, but I think it would have tasted fine not fried and would have been my preference.- Tonkotsu Ramen ($17): Same experience as the Chinatown location. The broth was too salty and did not have much depth. The chashu was also dry. The soft-boiled egg was surprisingly the best part because the yolk was still runny, and I could taste that it had been marinated.Overall, if you’re just looking for a relatively cheap meal, this place checks that box, but I do not think it compares to ramen in Japan.
Feb 27, 2025 · _My buddy and I had an amazing time at Waku Waku! The atmosphere was great, and the two servers working, Lauren and Ada, were exceptional hosts. They were friendly, engaging, and made us feel truly welcomed. We had a fun conversation with them and even got to teach another customer how to use chopsticks! The experience was warm, lively, and memorable. Highly recommend this spot for great ramen and even better hospitality!
Jan 28, 2025 · King BazkkiI’m so excited they opened a location in Quincy! The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure everyone was well taken care of. We kicked things off with the spicy + sweet wings and both went for the kimchi miso ramen—it's always my go-to because it’s packed with flavor. The portion sizes are great, and you’ll definitely leave feeling full, but not stuffed—just the right amount. The wings were the perfect balance of spicy and sweet, with a satisfying crunch! I’m not usually a fan of saucy wings, but these were coated just right. We both really enjoyed our ramen too. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles had a nice texture. As much as I loved Papa Gino’s, this place is a great new option!
