Wu's Ramen Oak Lawn Reviews
1st time here and the ramen is pretty good. I’d say I’d fairly rate it 8/10.You know when you go to an unfamiliar restaurant and you pick the “safe item” off the menu like something you know you’ll like? Well, that’s what I did. I went with the spicy Tonkotsu. It was very flavorful and the noodles were fresh. I also ordered the pickled cucumbers, which I favored a lot, and the pork Gyozas. The dumplings were a bit too crispy for my taste, but they were otherwise good.
May 05, 2025 · Weezee MartiniThe milk tea with a cute panda(?) lid topping a durable plastic take-home cup and overall Ramen dish presentation drew me in mostThey were out of the glowing bear bottles at the time, hopefully more will be in soonMy food looked just like the picture when it was ready, better even b/c they topped it with this red garnish that made the color pop out!I grabbed a take-home menu for future orders and inside is printed a cute step-by-step suggestion for how to eat ramen with chopsticks, (in case this is your first time)There was plenty of boba in the tiramisu milk tea, which made for a fairly even drink to boba ratio (thank you!)And to top it off, the atmosphere was so inviting. There is a variety of seating, counter with or w/o window view, small tables, booths, facing walkway or wall. The wall decor had a theme of neutral colors and far eastern landscapes.I especially appreciated what I call the 'cafe-chill' piano music playing at the time. (Kind of like on YouTube if you've seen those videos). This is definitely a place I'll visit again =)
Apr 29, 2025 · LongerStory ShortyI've been here several times with coworkers and the food is always great. Place is always clean and everyone is very helpful. Highly recommend it
Dec 21, 2024 · Ozzy VelascoNot a place I'd go back to. The food is ok: I've had much better / more interesting for less.Service is minimal, but that's not a bad concept (order on tap screen, get a buzzer). Atmosphere is great.Pretty basic ramen, neither the toppings nor the broth were noteworthy (the chashu was great, though). $10 for 4 takoyaki is very disappointing, I expected 6 or more for that price, and I wasn't fond of them being on top of sweet & sour sauce ? The gyozas were unremarkable. I suggest you explore other places.
Dec 04, 2024 · Valentin SenicourtMy husband and I came for dinner and were pleased with the flavors and atmosphere. I ordered the spicy beef ramen and my husband ordered the spicy tonkatsu. The spicy beef broth was delicious and had a perfect level of spice, around 2/5. I wish there was more than one leaf of bok choy though. The beef itself was okay, I would probably order a different protein next time. The noodles were just okay.My husband really enjoyed the tonkatsu ramen but became really ill in the middle of the night… I did notice a kitchen staff member handling food without gloves. So consider that at your own risk.
