Yigah Sushi, located in Lake Elsinore, is a well-regarded Japanese restaurant primarily celebrated for its sushi offerings. The menu extends beyond just sushi, offering a variety of Japanese dishes to cater to different preferences. Despite potential wait times during busy periods, the deliciousness of the food ensures that patrons keep coming back. Yigah Sushi provides a straightforward and satisfying dining experience, making it a dependable choice for Japanese food enthusiasts in the Lake Elsinore region.

What makes Yigah Sushi a standout choice for Japanese cuisine in Lake Elsinore?
- Consistently Fresh Fish: The most prominent feature highlighted by customers is the unwavering freshness of the sushi fish. Reviewers repeatedly mention that the "fish taste fresh," which is crucial for any sushi establishment.
- Good Portions: Patrons appreciate the "good portions" of the sushi rolls, indicating that Yigah Sushi provides satisfying meals that offer good value.
- Long-Standing Quality: The fact that customers have been coming "for a while since before the name change" and still find it "still good" speaks volumes about the consistent quality and culinary standards maintained over time.
- Extensive Sushi Roll Selection: Yigah Sushi boasts a very broad selection of sushi rolls, from classic California and Spicy Tuna rolls to more elaborate "Special Topping Rolls" like the Rainbow, Sunset, Lemon Tree, and the "Spicy Tuna Albacore Roll" with jalapeño, catering to a wide range of tastes and adventurous palates.
- Unique Appetizers and Beyond: While some appetizers like the Jalapeño Bomb might be noted for their small size, the menu offers a variety of options. Their inclusion of Korean dishes like "Spicy K-chicken" and various Korean stews and rice dishes provides a unique fusion element not always found at typical sushi restaurants.
- Affordable Pricing (for some items): While some appetizer portions might be small for their price point, the overall pricing for their sushi rolls and main dishes appears to be in line with competitive local sushi restaurants, offering a good balance of quality and cost. For instance, a California Roll is listed at $8.95 and a Spicy Tuna Roll at $11.50 on some menus.
- Dedicated Service (despite busy times): Although some reviews mention potential wait times due to a smaller staff, the commitment of the "one cook and one waitress" (as observed by one customer) to serve fresh food is evident, and many still find the overall experience worthwhile.
While explicit, large-scale promotions are not prominently advertised in the provided information, Yigah Sushi does offer competitive pricing on its menu, and like many local establishments, it may have unadvertised daily specials or lunch deals. For instance, some online menus list a "Chef's Choice Nigiri 5 PCS" for $9.50, and various rolls are competitively priced. It's always a good practice for California locals to check their current online menu through platforms like DoorDash or Seamless, as these often highlight "Featured Items" or popular rolls that might occasionally be on special. Given the reviews mention occasional busy periods, Yigah Sushi's primary appeal lies in its consistent quality and fresh offerings at regular prices, rather than heavy promotions. However, checking their direct phone line or in-store signage for any current deals is always a good idea.

Yigah Sushi Reviews
The sushi is always good. Fish taste fresh good portions been coming here for a while since before the name change is still good. I’ve never dined in but I did notice some people were there in back of restaurant, it can be bussy sometimes there’s only one cook and one waitress the times I’ve been there the wait time can sometimes be long.
May 22, 2025 · Marisol FloresThe sushi rolls wete fresh, and delicious. But, their appetizer of edamame and the jalapeño bomb were very small. The jalapeño bomb was $9 and the edamame was $4.50. The serving of the jalapeño was 1 very small jalapeño and less than 3/4 a cup of edamame

Oct 27, 2024 · Libre UnoNot normally one to leave reviews. I came in at 1PM on my lunch break. I was not greeted. I looked around for help, and when the chef blatantly ignored my presence I sat down and pulled up the menu on my phone. I waited a few minutes until I asked if I was going to get service. The chef looked at me and said he thought I was with someone else who was standing by the door. Anyways, I was given a physical menu finally, and few minutes later I placed my order. I was not given water, or napkins, until I asked. I ordered 1 roll and 1 order of sashimi. I was the only person dining in and it took 25 minutes from the time I sat down to receive my plate of sashimi. I was given hot green tea for free I'm assuming because they could tell I was disgruntled from the lack of service. I still tipped the maximum amount because I'm a nice person but I was pretty disappointed with the service. The food was great though. Someone else in the reviews mentioned the use of styrofoam, and plastic utensils and such. I was given a red solo cup for water, a styrofoam cup for tea, a foam plate and a plastic sauce cup. They definitely need to upgrade a lot. One more thing, they were playing religious Christian prayer music or something. I would have preferred some authentic Japanese music instead of that. Or anything else really. Total of 40 minutes spent inside and right after I was done eating I had to leave to get back to work so it took a very long time to get a total of 10 pieces of sushi. I feel like 3 stars rating is generous but like I said, I'm a nice person and don't want to ruin their new ownership score. I would love to come back here because I work nearby, but would like to see some improvement before I do. Thanks for reading.
