This is a classic Japanese restaurant owned by Koreans. Great sushi overall and cordial service. Chicken teriyaki was a bit underwhelming, though.

I've been here three times (once before the pandemic, twice recently) and I'll definitely come here again for more great times. The food was great on both occasions, so I have no complaints whatsoever (though I wouldn't be considered a sushi snob by any means).

This is a long overdue review. I have enjoyed sushi for years and found Hama Sushi about 9 months ago. They consistently have fresh excellent quality food and always provide outstanding service…by far the best sushi in the area an unexpected experience in Herndon for sure. Family friendly yet quiet, upscale dining at tables with fast courteous service, enjoy at the sushi bar or take out all equally great. Never a miss, always a treat and I 100% highly recommend.

Hama Sushi is a really clean and family friendly restaurant. They’ve been so accommodating for my son with food allergies. I requested for them to make a sushi cake for his birthday and they obliged and did a fantastic job.
