A nice all you can eat selection with a nice appetizer variety,the staff was attentive and willing to make any accommodations of any roll they just ask that you write it on the side of your menu. There was little to no wait from the time we ordered we had appetizers instantly. Very fresh and tightly rolled, be very careful when you make your selections because some have a wasabi sauces and are very spicy!!! (Pictured) 🌶️

I do not believe there is any sushi place in the Chicago-land area that is as high quality and so well priced as Hokkai in Glen Ellyn. Every time I am in the area, I find myself at Hokkai enjoying the All You Can Eat special; a $30 per person deal featuring the entire menu, all served in a modern Asian atmosphere by some of the friendliest wait staff I've ever met. Place settings are modest, with classic, Asian inspired design features. Each setting comes with chopsticks but conventional flatware is available on request.If you're into spice, try the Dragon or Volcano Roll. Love traditional sushi? Try the white tuna, salmon or yellow tail. I go for the salmon and white tuna every time! The salmon is fresh, soft and almost melts in your mouth. The white tuna, likewise, but with an almost buttery mouth feel. Other offerings are available like the ever-present and delicious California Roll. If you want to try something unique, don't pass up the house specialty Hokkai Roll. There's a host of sushi on offer so you'll certainly find something to please your palate and fill your belly.If you're in or around Glen Ellyn and have that unquenchable sushi craving, do yourself the favor and treat yourself to Hokkai. I’ve only been here twice. According to their website, it says the ayce is something like $27. It’s a bit higher than the last time I was there. I haven’t been back in awhile since there are a lot more options now. I’ll share some pictures, the menu is pretty much the same. If you are craving for sushi and on a budget, it’s a good deal. If you care about the quality and have been to others, I would say the quality is eh.. mediocre. Nothing that would wow you. As for me, the quality was average, nothing more. Definitely check this place out if you don’t feel like going to the Schaumburg area and are in the mood for a sushi fest.

The first interaction had with our server was being scoffed at for ordering water to drink. Then, after rolling her eyes and gesturing to another server that we wanted 2 waters, the server hurried off. Each subsequent visit involved little to no service beyond the bare minimum. I'd be more forgiving if this were some world class venue, but the quality of the food did not defend their dismissive, self-important attitude.
