Hood Hibachi (Food Truck) Reviews
Horrible experience… not quite sure how it takes close to 40 minutes for egg rolls? Everyone else got their food way before me and when I asked about the wait I was told repeatedly that it’s made to order but last time I checked all food on a food truck should be made to order. If there is indeed a wait for that item staff should advise customers of that before they place the order. Not to mention, customer service was horrendous. Will absolutely never return in this life or the next.
May 25, 2025 · jocelyn nichols“HOOD” is RIGHT. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this experience was so bad I felt morally obligated to warn others. This hibachi food truck is the culinary equivalent of a scam wrapped in a burnt rice ball and served with a side of attitude. They charged me an extra $25!! Yes. Twenty. Five. Whole. American. Dollars. For add-ons. Not even separate meals. ADD. ONS. The shrimp? Five microscopic, rubbery sea creatures that tasted like they were boiled in dishwater and regrets. When I asked about the price, the cashier (a woman who had the customer service skills of a DMV printer during a power outage) sneered and said, “That’s just how it is.” Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. This place is a total ripoff. If I wanted overpriced disappointment served with a side of attitude, I’d go back to my ex.
Mar 29, 2025 · LizCustomer Service was awful he was rude and disrespectful and the food was trash and salty. The prices were insane. Don’t waste your time with this truck.
May 10, 2025 · Shanerra JohnsonHonestly it only gets one star bc I had to choose something to leave this review. Spent $200 on 4 means plus tip. This place should really remove hibachi from its name and just call it “hood kitchen” the rice was portly put together and lazy. Tasted like frozen veggies egg and soy sauce. No garlic butter no sesame oil , truly a slap in the face for anyone who thought they were going to get hibachi. The lobster batter was way over seasoned which is confusing bc the lamb chops and rice lacked all of the flavor. Let’s collectively agree this place isn’t worth our time or money and support other local food trucks that enjoy serving quality food and service. Trash hibachi
Feb 09, 2025 · Sylvia LageVery little food for a large price. Hibachi is expensive but you’re paying for the experience. This has none of that. Shrimp were flavorful but I didn’t have anything leftover and that’s a must with hibachi for me. Forty dollars for a bowl with shrimp, broccoli, and rice
