Mar 08, 2025 · Ella BergquistThis is a hidden gem. Tiny hole in the wall with the best signature sushi 🍣 and hospitality. I recommend ordering from their signature menu.
Apr 21, 2025 · Aliah K JamesonYou simply cannot beat the value at Kabuto. The price top quality ratio is insane as the fish is so fresh, beautifully/thoughtfully presented. It's definitely an authentic experience through and through. It's a small mom and pop shop, so best to make reservations! They are so sweet and kind here.
Oct 28, 2024 · Ronald GowanGreat news - Kabuto is still awesome! This used to be my favorite sushi place in SF about a decade ago. My gluttony has since expanded its scope (hahaha), but sometimes you CAN go home again. I was shocked that Eric Cho (the owner), who doesn't seem to have aged a day, recognized me. We ordered the Omakase because it's only $99 here and I trust the chefs to serve their best fish of the day. One of the things I've always loved about Kabuto is that this place was serving up interesting fusion sushi at a time when other places were merely branching out into "specialty" rolls. Well, the current menu did not disappoint! I'm dropping some photos below of our favorite dishes (like the waguy dumpling with ankimo and caviar or the truffle ankimo caviar toro nigiri) and already looking forward to coming back.
