Apr 22, 2025 · Jennie YuI had sushi tacos in Haven City Market and they are a brilliant fusion concept, and the shell made from rice paper and seaweed is both innovative and culturally relevant — blending Japanese and Mexican food traditions. The vibrant orange of the salmon and the deep red of the tuna stand out beautifully against the dark, crispy-looking taco shell. Extremely fresh and delicious. Will come back to try more.
May 17, 2025 · Annie ZI tried their recommendation the best sellers: Salmon and eel sushi tacos. It is my first time to try something new like this for Japanese food. Eel will melt in your mouth and with the crunchiness of the taco shell. You can feel the sound of crunching. The salmon is also very fresh. Next time I will try to pair with Sake they are selling.
Feb 16, 2025 · barbell cliffTheir scallops and salmon sushi taco offers a delightful fusion of fresh ocean flavors and satisfying textures. The scallops are sweet, tender, and buttery, perfectly complementing the rich, silky slices of salmon. Wrapped in a crispy, golden taco shell made from rice paper and seaweed, each bite delivers a satisfying crunch followed by a burst of umami. Balanced with vinegared sushi rice, fresh cucumber, these taco feels both indulgent and refreshing—a creative twist on traditional sushi that’s both visually appealing and deliciously memorable.
Apr 21, 2025 · Tiger RI wanted to like this place.. This is one of the vendors inside the new food hall, Haven City, in West Covina. The sushi tacos look intriguing, but let me save you some money and time - DON'T GET IT. The taco is terribly hard to eat. The taco shell does not taste good. The fish has no flavor/seasoning/sauce. You have to ask for soy sauce and wasabi packets! Not only do they not taste good, they are also so expensive. It's two tacos for $17.99.The salmon burrito was better than the taco but still hard to eat. I think it wasn't salty enough. Also it got really messy. This was really disappointing :(
