Maki Yaki Reviews
Ramen tasted like cheap cup of noodles with a small amount of beef added. Not really worth $15. Much better ramen places in Orange county.
Apr 19, 2024 · Eric Van CampenMy friend and I ordered quite a bit of food from here a few days ago and it was pretty good. We got musubi’s, avocado rolls, California rolls, Caterpillar rolls, dumplings, and the curry plate. The musubis were not what I expected, the spam was still relatively soft, not very fried and the sauce was sweet it was different than the Hawaiian ones I’m used to, my curry plate had a GREAT flavor but it was almost all sauce, there was like three cubes of potato and no meat but it might have been meatless? My friend said his sushi was really really good but I didn’t get to try the avocado rolls because they were touching his and I have a shell fish allergy. I might go again for the curry on a cold day if it had more in it, and my friend said he would definitely go back for the sushi though so I’m assuming it was good!
Jul 27, 2020 · Mikey AndersonOrdered over $60 in food the other night. It took 45-50 mins, for a couple cut rolls, sashimi, gyoza, and a few other things, honestly some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The yellow tail was more of a grey/brown tail, the sushi was chewy and slimy, smelt just like the harbor, honestly I’ve had better gas station sushi, and all these people on here talking about the ramen is good…. Just FYI I saw the package it comes out of… you Can buy the same brand at the 99 cent store on harbor…. Your welcome.
Oct 22, 2021 · Alexander CapitanGreat food, very spicy for ramen. I had a lot of good times here. It’s a small restaurant and food takes longer than expected but worth it. I would only get the ramen and add extra noodles, extra soup with egg, beef, and veggies.
Nov 09, 2021 · Bob BobI stopped here for a quick bite at 7:25 pm. All by myself, one person. I would be eating there, not taking it home which I told the woman taking my order. When I ordered I was informed they would close at 8 pm. OK fine, plenty of time. Then she said she would put it in a to go container "just in case". I said no that won't be necessary. It will take me 10 minutes. I did not want to eat from a take out container. She insisted and kept arguing with me! I am still dumbfounded. I told her to forget it and left. I am a pretty normal looking working professional dressed in decent jeans and a golf shirt. What gives? Clearly she did not want my business and of course I will never go back.
