Nakama Sushi provides a comprehensive Japanese dining experience with a strong emphasis on fresh sushi and an engaging omakase option. Here’s a detailed look at their services:
- Omakase Experience: A significant highlight is their omakase, a chef's tasting menu that allows diners to experience the best seasonal ingredients. The omakase typically includes multiple courses, such as appetizers (oyster, sea urchin, abalone, monk liver), sashimi (scallops, salmon, toro tuna), nigiri, an intermediate dish (egg custard with crab), premium sushi, a handroll, miso soup, and dessert (mango panna cotta). This curated journey is often described as "exceptional."
- À La Carte Menu: For those who prefer to choose their own dishes, Nakama Sushi also offers an excellent à la carte menu, which is particularly noted as "great for the pre-performance" crowd. This menu includes a wide variety of nigiri and sashimi, including bluefin tuna, salmon, hamachi, scallop, uni, and A5 Wagyu.
- Specialty Rolls: The restaurant offers a diverse selection of specialty rolls, such as the Dragon Roll, 49er Roll, Double Red Roll, Spicy Summer Roll, and the A5 Wagyu Beef Roll, showcasing both traditional and innovative flavors.
- Appetizers and Hot Dishes: Beyond sushi, Nakama Sushi provides a range of hot and cold appetizers, including Gyoza, Edamame, Assorted Tempura, Chicken Karaage, and unique options like A5 Wagyu Beef on Hot Stone and Kani Chawanmushi (steamed egg with crab).
- Beer, Wine, and Sake Selection: To complement the meal, Nakama Sushi offers fine selections of beer, wine, and sake, enhancing the authentic Japanese dining experience.
- Takeout Service: For added convenience, Nakama Sushi offers takeout services, which can be ordered by calling the restaurant directly or through popular delivery platforms like Uber Eats, Postmates, and GrubHub.
- Reservations: The restaurant accepts reservations, particularly useful for securing a spot for their popular omakase, which helps manage wait times, especially given its "limited seating" and popularity.

It is always recommended that interested diners check Nakama Sushi's official website (sfnakamasushi.com), their profiles on reservation platforms like OpenTable, or their social media channels for any seasonal offerings, special tasting menus, or potential limited-time discounts. While daily happy hour or extensive discount programs might be less common for an omakase-focused establishment, they may occasionally introduce special nigiri selections, seasonal fish, or unique sake pairings that act as their own form of "special offer" to enhance the dining experience. Given the high satisfaction rates, the consistent quality and value provided are often considered the primary draw for repeat visits.

Nakama Sushi Reviews
January 2025:Have been meaning to try this sushi restaurant because it gets many positive reviews. Made a reservation on open table for dinner and enjoyed the omakase.Started with a mini appetizer which included an oyster, sea urchin, abalone, and monk liver. Each one was very tasty.Second course was sashimi which included scallops, salmon and toro tuna. Very delicious!Third course was a selection of four nigiri. Good standards!Fourth course was egg custard with crab. Very good!Fifth course was premium sushi! Excellent and could have eaten 2x the amount!Finished with a handroll, miso soup and mango panna cotta. Was very happy with the omakase. Would come back again for more delicious Japanese food!
January 25 · Ken WongThis is a really good place to eat at if you are ever in the mood for sushi. The sushi I had was very good and the ambiance of the place was great and the service was very friendly. I may come back
March 20 · Steven StrausCame here for an impromptu early dinner and it did not disappoint. The sushi rolls were great but loved the other dishes quite a lot too especially the fresh sea food. Tried the sparking jelly sake and it was quite refreshing. The staff was friendly and prompt throughout.
August 28 · Abhishek SinghGreat experience with fresh delicious food and good service. We were in Hayes in dinner time and decided to give this place a try. We were seated right away without reservation, which is luck on a Sunday evening. We ordered Snow dragon, Spicy summer, Double red, and Nasu roll. I liked all of them but my favorite was Double red.Our server, Uncle Ben, was extremely attentive, which added to the experience. Extra ginger, water refill and even complimentary sweet treat at the end - made that dinner memorable. The place was cozy with lights dimmed, and calm guests. I’ll definitely come there again.
April 12 · Аlisa PaludetiThe sashimi tasting was good enough at this price point. Nothing melts in your mouth but it tastes fresh and was cut properly. Service at the bar was friendly and quick.
