Nande-Ya Reviews
I really wanted to like Nande-Ya, especially since it's located in Japan Town, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. The restaurant was busy, which I understand — but the service felt off from the start. The staff wasn't very friendly, and it took a while for someone to even take our order. As for the food, I was hoping for authentic Japanese flavors, but it honestly tasted like it wasn't made by a Japanese-owned business. The salmon bowl with ikura was good. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and it tasted pretty bland. What really threw me off was the 18% gratuity automatically added to the bill — especially with the lack of service. I don't mind tipping, but it felt a little forced given the overall experience. Not sure if I'll be coming back, but I hope they improve their service in the future!
Feb 28, 2025 · Travel Beyond Serendipity (Hope)This restaurant was very busy and noisy during our holiday visit. The ramen was bland, and the assorted sashimi consisted of small portions.
