Obu Ramen House embraces a casual yet inviting atmosphere, aiming to provide a sense of home where guests can unwind and enjoy their meals. The decor is described as nice, creating a pleasant backdrop for a relaxed dining experience. Obu Ramen House offers a comprehensive dining experience that extends beyond its signature ramen. Customers can enjoy a variety of appetizers, main courses, and beverages. The service, while occasionally noted to be short-staffed during rushes, is generally described as friendly and attentive, with servers doing their best to manage the flow of patrons and delivery pickups. Obu Ramen House distinguishes itself with several notable features:
- Authentic Ramen Selection: The core of Obu Ramen House’s appeal lies in its diverse ramen offerings. Popular choices include the Classic Tonkotsu, known for its pleasantly creamy pork broth, and the Spicy Tonkotsu, which adds a kick for those who enjoy a bit of heat. Other favorites include Chashu Ramen, Daiginjo Spicy Miso, Obu Chicken Ramen (with creamy chicken broth), and a Premium Creamy Veggie Ramen, ensuring options for various dietary preferences. Reviewers often praise the delicious broth and perfectly cooked noodles.
- Quality Appetizers: Beyond ramen, the restaurant features a strong lineup of appetizers. The Chicken Karaage and Takoyaki are highlights, with customers noting that these items are made fresh in a deep fryer, distinguishing them from places that might use a microwave. Other popular appetizers include Fried Pork Gyoza, Truffle Fries, and various rice bowls like Spicy Pork Rice Bowl and Chicken Karaage Rice Bowl.
- Thoughtfully Prepared Ingredients: While some find the ramen flavor to be subtle, the charshu (pork belly) is consistently praised for being the right thickness. The attention to detail in preparing side dishes, such as the freshly fried karaage and takoyaki, speaks to a commitment to quality.
- Full Bar and Late Hours: The presence of a full bar with cocktails, sake, and wine, coupled with relatively late operating hours, makes Obu Ramen House a flexible dining option for various times of the day, from lunch to late-night cravings. This feature adds to its appeal as a social spot, not just a quick meal stop.
- Vegan Options: The inclusion of a Premium Creamy Veggie Ramen demonstrates an effort to cater to a broader customer base, though some reviews suggest it might be a simpler vegan offering compared to more elaborate options elsewhere.
Obu Ramen House often features prominently on food delivery platforms like DoorDash and Uber Eats, where it consistently receives high ratings (around 4.4 to 4.5 stars) from thousands of customers. This widespread positive reception acts as a strong promotional tool, indicating its popularity and consistent quality. The restaurant also offers DashPass benefits on DoorDash, including $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees, which can entice frequent users of these platforms. Gift cards are available, offering a flexible present for ramen enthusiasts, allowing them to experience the restaurant's vibrant atmosphere or enjoy a meal at their leisure. The restaurant's own website also provides information about its mission to offer comfort and a memorable experience, emphasizing the "sense of home" it aims to provide.

Obu Ramen House Reviews
The karaage and takoyaki was actually made in the deep fryer and we watched them make it, so that is different than other places that use a microwave. The chasu was just the right thickness, though the flavor of the ramen was a bit too subtle for me.Nothing extraordinary, but nothing bad either. 4.5 stars rounded up.
May 19, 2025 · Oliver HolmesNice decor, tasty food. Good but not great. I stopped in after the lunch rush and it appeared to be short staffed. The one server was good but there was clearly more work than one individual could handle. The restaurant had 3 other patrons in addition to me. There were also app delivery pickups occurring. Many tables needed to be cleaned and bused. I noticed two people working in what appeared to be a sanitary kitchen (I would’ve left otherwise lol). My food was fresh and tasty though not served quite as hot as I’m accustomed to. Despite the less than ideal circumstances I’d still return and give it another try. I hope I just caught them during an “off” moment.
Nov 27, 2024 · lonnell williamsThe soup is spectacular! The *only* reason this place gets a second star. They took Burdock off the menu YEARS ago, one of the primary ingredients advertised for this restaurant, and one of my favorites. Okay, no fun. But they didn't update the menu to reflect it, only stating it's "not in stock" when ordered, before changing that years later to "no longer carried". One would think that after converting to an online only menu form, it would be updated? NOPE.What's absolutely NOT OKAY is DOUBLING the price of some menu items and STILL NOT UPDATING THE MENU!! Y'all just lost a regular because of this. I really loved getting the soup here but this misleading advertising has just become too much for me to support.
May 27, 2025 · Rachel LackeyIt is as mid as a ramen place can be.Not in a bad way it's just middling. Flavors are fine, the appetizers were good. The size for cost is a bit bad though.Overall it's not a bad idea to give them a try if your around here.
Dec 20, 2024 · Dan KimCheck and keep your receipts folks!I gave an $8 tip, but they decided to take $10.I believe they count on people not checking their bill. The charge was still in "pending' status, SO was hoping it was just that - pending and would convert to the correct amount. But just in case, I called the next day & asked to speak with a manager. Bryan answered said they weren't available but he would pass on the message & someone would call back.No one called back so I called the day after and asked for the manager. Bryan this time said he was the manager. He explained that they the $2 refund would take a few business days. So that confirms that they typed in a $10 tip. He was very polite & did apologize, but I can't get over the fact that they would do something so disgusting as stealing a mere $2! lt's just so dishonest! He then went into defensive mode and tried to make excuses how "this sort of thing never happens" & "you're getting angry" (which I admit, I was)."this sort of thing never happens" ... what? No one called them out on it/caught it. I wonder how many times they got away with it. $2 here, $1 there...small amounts add up.I am just really upset and sad about this situation. This was a NOT a mistake (I used to work in food industry, entering in credit card charges & tips. Going from $8 to $10 is not a "slip of the fingers"...that was deliberate).Shame on them!
