Okinawa Sushi and Asian Food is a locally owned family restaurant. Although it is a small establishment with limited seating. The staff is friendly and attentive offering exceptionally high quality cuisine. The restaurant is known for its fresh, expertly prepared sushi at competitive prices. It has become a popular dining choice within the community. Our order included the Boston Roll, Dragon Roll, and hand-rolled California Rolls, all of which were consistently delicious and fresh.

This is my go-to sushi spot! I’ve tried all sushi spots around the Bay-Ridge area and no one beats Okinawa for their quality and price point. If you’re hungry and looking for sushi, definitely check out their sale menu and their incredibly affordable lunch menu combo (3 sushi rolls comes with soup and salad!).

The small restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They serve Japanese cuisine. The restaurant is primarily a takeout with several tables for dining in. I ordered two bento boxes. Each bento box includes soup, salad, white rice, California roll, three shumai, shrimp and vegetable tempura and choice of an entree. I ordered the fried oysters and salmon teriyaki entrees. Everything was well-prepared with generous portions. The takoradi appetizer were fried octopus balls served with a dipping sauce. Friendly and quick service.

I think this place is halal friendly, which means they don’t cook their non-fish stuff with pig lard or cook pork. They also have a slightly different menu compared to Bay Ridge Sushi, when comparing the specialty rolls.The owners are friendly, food is really good for a quick lunch or dinner spot, my only complaint is that it’s a bit small inside. My favorite is to get the honey ginger drink combined with a soup like a chopped chicken entree and one specialty rolls, balances out the cost and craving of sushi and while still being full.

This place is literally a hidden gem. I was skeptical. I had been taken there to celebrate. It may look rough or regular on the outside, but the service is amazing & the food is so much more. During the meal, I was plotting my return. I went back a week later & I don't even live near to it, 30min drive, so I meant plotting. 😆 Highly recommend. Will add pics next visit.
