However, the consistent praise for "great portions" and "superb quality" suggests that the restaurant offers inherent value through its regular menu pricing. Many authentic Japanese restaurants focus on the quality and integrity of their dishes rather than frequent, heavily discounted promotions.
Nevertheless, for local patrons in Arizona interested in potential special offers, it is always a good practice to:
- Check Online Delivery Platforms: Restaurants often list current promotions or special combo deals on popular food delivery services like DoorDash or Fantuan (which has listed Omatase with a 10% off promotion in the past, suggesting they do offer discounts through such channels).
- Visit Their Website or Social Media: If Omatase Japanese Kitchen has an official website or active social media profiles, these would be the primary places where they would announce any seasonal specials, new menu items, or limited-time discounts.
- Inquire Directly: When visiting or calling the restaurant, politely asking about any current specials can sometimes reveal unadvertised offers or daily promotions.
Given the strong emphasis on the authentic and high-quality nature of their food, any promotions would likely be designed to highlight their culinary offerings rather than simply competing on price. The existing positive reviews emphasize that the food itself is the main attraction, providing value through its excellence.

Omatase Japanese Kitchen Reviews
Omatase Japanese Kitchen is a taste of home. Being from the South Bay in LA I have been missing authentic Japanese food! This is the first curry udon I have found in the valley and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed our roll and tempura udon as well. The menu is expansive and you can tell they put a lot of care and love into their dishes. The owner is very kind and shared that they moved here from Torrance. It is always so special to connect with people who are from the same area I am from. I can’t wait to come back!
April 19 · Yvette DuarteWe know the chef couple from another place before Pandemic. We were very fond of their food back then’ the portion is great and the quality superb! and were so sad to find out that they closed the restaurant during the pandemic. We found them again here by complete chance and were so delighted! Their food is great as usual, my wife ordered eel over rice and couldn’t be happier! The chef even remembered us and our usual order and pointed out that Tiger Roll is still on the menu, just changed to a more Japanese name (Torrance Maki)! That is what we will order next time we visit! Can’t wait!
May 25 · Jim SunWhat can I say here. Omatase Japanese Kitchen is located in the Asiana food court. I have been wanting to try this place for a while and they did not disappoint. Tucked away in the Asiana food court. They serve what I can only describe as Japanese soul food that if your grandma was Asian. This is the food you grew up eating and being that fat happy panda growing up.I ordered the king katsu plate. It has three types of katsu with a river of curry. The curry sauce reminds me of those afternoons in Hawaii with a big bowl or chicken katsu curry on the beach. The curry definitely was not a packet or gold curry blocks you get from the supermarket. It had small tender pieces of beef in it with sweet onions. Definitely the curry your grandma used to make. The katsu were pork, chicken and fish. All three were succulent, tender and juicy. The breading was crispy and stayed crispy even after being dunked mercilessly in curry sauce.Definitely worth the trip and the price to experience this amazing dish. The restaurant serves fresh fish and a variety of Japanese dishes that I can only describe as what my childhood in Hawaii was like. The owners were welcoming and eager to answer any questions you have.More importantly the food was done in a quick and timely manner. If you are near this area, you definitely should swing by as you won't regret the amazing food and experience.
May 22 · Davie GabayanOmatase ((お待たせ)) is a Japanese word that means "sorry to have kept you waiting". It can be used as a polite greeting, even if you are not late. For this great place, I would gladly wait. The owners, Mei and Jay, are the original owners of Sushi Stop. My heart is so happy to see them again!Today is their grand opening and we got some takoyaki (six pieces for $9), pork katsu with the addition of cheese ($18 + $3), and a Las Vegas maki roll (five pieces for $8). Everything tasted delicious, as always. The curry dish is easily shareable between two people. We could have gotten just the curry and it would be perfect but you know I needed a maki roll for good measure. No regrets.Sitting in the Asian food court is Omatase Japanese Kitchen! You won't be disappointed having a meal here. Itadakimasu!
March 01 · Joyce WooOne of the best places on terms of food quality food aesthetics, and service. I enjoyed every bit of it. Everyone was friendly and chief came by to give candybto me and my wife. We will come back 100%
