SHINJUKU STATION offers a range of services centered around its unique dining concept, ensuring a fun and efficient experience:
- Dine-In Service with Conveyor Belts: The core of the Shinjuku Station experience involves dining at tables equipped with conveyor belts. These belts offer a "nonstop procession of small plates," allowing diners to pick and choose dishes as they pass by. This provides immediate access to a variety of fresh sushi and other small bites.
- Tablet Ordering System: For specific dishes not on the conveyor belt, or for larger orders, food can be easily ordered via user-friendly tablets at each table. This system offers "plentiful offerings" and ensures you get exactly what you crave.
- Robot and Bullet Train Delivery: A unique highlight of Shinjuku Station is the futuristic food delivery system. Orders placed via tablet might be delivered directly to your table by a "robot that's zooming around" or by a "Japanese bullet train that's tracks run above and next to your table." This adds an element of surprise and excitement to every order.
- Traditional Server Interaction: While technology plays a significant role, traditional waitstaff are also on hand. Your food might occasionally be delivered by your server or an assistant, ensuring a balanced and attentive service experience.
- Lunch Service: Shinjuku Station opens for lunch, typically around 11:30 AM. As customer reviews indicate, it's popular, with lines forming even before opening, so arriving early is recommended, especially for lunch.
- Interactive Toy Machines: The restaurant features unique toy machines that add to the fun, particularly for families. While tokens are required and specific procedures for refunds apply, they offer an additional layer of entertainment.
What makes SHINJUKU STATION a must-experience for North Carolina locals and visitors alike?
- Immersive Japanese Train Station Ambiance: The restaurant's design is a major draw, meticulously crafted to mimic "the ambiance of an actual Japanese train station." This theme is carried throughout, from the decor to the innovative food delivery methods, creating a truly unique environment.

- User-Friendly Tablet Ordering: The ordering process is streamlined and easy, with "plentiful offerings" accessible through interactive tablets at each table. This convenience ensures a smooth and efficient dining experience.

SHINJUKU STATION Reviews
Great experience all around. The ambiance is that of an actual Japanese train station. The food is fresh and delicious. The waitstaff is on point and friendly. The conveyor belts that are adjacent to every table offer ultimate convenience with a nonstop precession of small plates. Food ordering from the tablets is easy with plentiful offerings. One thing I really liked besides everything there is when I order off of the tablet I never know if my food will be delivered via the robot that's zooming around the Japanese bullet train that's tracks run above and next to your table or your actual server or an assistant.
May 24, 2025 · Don BWe came here for lunch around 11am. It didn't open until 11:30, but people started lining up when we got there. By the time it opened, there was a line around the building! So come early, if you can! The whole restaurant looked really neat and the concept was interesting! The food was good. I wish there was a bigger variety of rolls on the conveyor belt, but it was nice that we could order the ones we wanted. I did see some people with desserts that weren't on the conveyor belt and I didn't see them on the screen to order, so we were a little confused about that. The little toy machines were neat, but you have to exchange one dollar for one token and each toy costs around 6 tokens. If you end up with extra tokens, you can get your money back, but you have to track down a manager that has a key to the machine. That took us 20 minutes.
Apr 18, 2025 · N WThis place is definitely unique and amazing. This is an all you can eat revolving sushi bar that passes by your table. The entrees are either served by humans, a robot and the bullet train that passes by the booths. This place is so much fun with really friendly waiters who are very informative for first time customers. I highly recommend it just for the experience.Come early as this place gets really packed and the morning we came, I saw the line wrap around the building. After you are done dining, don’t miss the Gotcha vending machines toward the front. Lots of cute items for kids and adults.Overall it gave us as close to an authentic Japanese dining experience as you’re going to get.
May 11, 2025 · Ed D.I initially came across this restaurant through a social media post made on Facebook. Considering I was looking for something to do on my fiancé’s birthday, this was perfect since he is a seafood lover! However, as someone with a seafood allergy I could not tell you how nervous I was to eat here. BUT, after giving this place a call the person who answered the phone reassured me that their kitchen takes precautions to ensure my safety.Knowing this, I made the 1.5 drive from Raleigh to here. As soon as I walked inside I felt like I was instantly transported to Japan! The inside was decorated with passion and attention-to-detail. You could tell that love was put into the inside of this place. The place has lots of artwork and even plays anime in background! And as much as I would love to visit Japan, $17.99/person for lunch was a much cheaper option. 😅I experienced no issues regarding my allergy while eating here! Plus, they had PLENTLY of non-seafood options. AND they allow you to bring food from their next-door neighbour, iso iso ramen! So I had options galore, which I was worried I wouldn’t previously had. Especially as someone who only eats chicken, I had a lot of items to choose from. Which meant I did not have to be alienated from my fiancés lunch! The food I ordered came out fast too and was cooked to perfection.Kayla was our server and she was AMAZING!!! Not only was she nice, but accommodated my many questions I had with glowing positivity! Overall, my experience here was a 20/10. The drive here was 100% worth it. The food, service, and atmosphere itself was all phenomenal and exceeded all my expectations! 💜
Apr 22, 2025 · Red RuizThey don’t take reservations, so prepare to wait for about 1 hr and 30 mins; that’s what my party of 4 had to do on a Saturday night. It’s important to know that each person costs $29.99. Once we got our table, the food was out pretty quickly. The hibachi chicken and the hibachi steak were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The conveyor belt with the different sushi rolls were good and convenient. The atmosphere is very fun with the robot servers as well as the conveyor belt.
